iPhone fans keep on speculating what iPhone 8 will look like. The year 2017 hasn’t even started yet and we are discussing pieces of information that we get. According to the latest rumors, the upcoming Apple flagship smartphone will sport a three-dimensional camera and will run with an A11 processor.
The International Business Times says that the A11 processor is a 10-nanometer chip that has been created by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company to perform 30 percent better than the existing iPhone processors.
The information is reported to have been obtained from the documents of Apple’s supply chain and manufacturers in East Asia. The report reveals that LG Innotek could possibly be a supplier of 3D cameras for the iPhone 8.
Relying on these documents, Apple is preparing three iPhone variants codenamed D20, D21 and D22. The first two products under development refer to the iPhone 7S and iPhone 7S Plus, while the last one, that is also internally dubbed as “Ferrari,” is believed to be the higher-end model or the iPhone 8.
Apart from 3D camera and A11 processor, iPhone 8 is rumored to have the organic light emitting diode panels that will be made out of plastic and will be primarily sourced from Samsung.
According to the Inquisitr report, Apple might have changed the location of the SIM card tray. Reportedly, it will be moved to the bottom part of the handset while the old location will be used for other micro components of the mobile device.
The new iPhone 8 is promised to have a curved-edge screen – something that Samsung is well-known for. Remarkably, there have been other smartphone makers who presented new flagships bearing the curved-edge display design this year.
The year 2017 will be rather special for Apple. The company will be celebrating the tenth anniversary of iPhone. No wonder that the upcoming device makes a noise in the world. It is hard to enumerate all the rumors about the iPhone 8 specs, release date, and all other minute details that have been circulating so far.
One of the most interesting reports suggested that Apple is testing ten variants of iPhone 8, with one being similar to Galaxy S7 Edge featuring a curved OLED display and bezel-less design.
The rumored iPhone 7S, iPhone 7S Plus, and iPhone 8 are all expected to be revealed in 2017 to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the whole iPhone product line. The release date is scheduled for September next year. iPhone fans may find it hard to wait till the very launch taking into account the amount of leaks and rumors appearing every day.
