Meghan Markle has become one of the most talked-about persons in the world as the actress turned out to be a new girlfriend of Prince Harry.
Now, the world is speculating Meghan’s attitudes to relationships, the death threats she’s received, and some of the dubious TV jobs she’s taken can be revealed. The actress talked to columnist Piers Morgan over a dirty martini in a London pub.
Piers Morgan is known not only as a good friend of the next President of America, but also as a popular man with the ladies. He admits to be an expert when it comes to the opposite sex. He unveiled how he was amazed by Meghan when he met her in the past for some drinks in his local pub.
Meghan, 35, met up with Piers after she spent a day watching tennis and drinking champagne in the Royal Box at Wimbledon. It happened months before the information about royal relationship got leaked to the press. Piers says their conversation gave him ‘a pretty good insight into the new global object of Royal girlfriend frenzy.’
Morgan says: “She sent me a direct message and said ‘thanks for the follow, hey I’m a big fan of yours.’ We exchanged some fun stuff. My take on her was she’s very beautiful, she’s very intelligent, she’s 35, she’s been divorced, her dad’s black her mum’s white and she had some problems with that growing up”.
According to Morgan, Meghan used to be bombarded with hate messages. Real Meghan even didn’t do any harm – it is her character Rachel Zane in the US drama series Suits cheated on her boyfriend in the show.
“People wanted to kill me! Not Rachel… ME. I never knew there were so many emojis with guns and knives. It was very unpleasant. Fortunately, Rachel got back on her pedestal and it stopped.”
Meghan admitted that she wishes the USA to take gun control measures and looks forward to see more people to take efforts to stem “so many needless deaths”.
She touched her mixed race upbringing, saying: “My dad’s Caucasian, my mother’s African-American, so I’m half-white, half-black. It caused me a lot of confusion when I was young because it’s not easy to be ethnically ambiguous in America. But I learned to embrace being a mixed-race woman.”
Morgan unveiled some lesser-known facts about Meghan Markle. It appears that she is a trained calligrapher who wrote the invitation cards and envelopes for pop singer Robin Thicke’s 2005 wedding.
Morgan dared to give Prince Harry some dating advice: “She’s big on handwriting when it comes to romance. So Harry if you’re watching put it in writing. I was really impressed I thought she was a very nice woman, very suited to Harry and different, biracial, an actress.”
