‘They’re Lies,’ Says Melania Trump About Women’s Claims That Donald Trump Groped Them

Melania Trump gave an interview to CNN where she cleared up the situation.

Melania Trump supported her husband Donald Trump as he is allegedly accused of assault against women. Ms. Trump questioned the honesty of the women making the accusations during her interview to CNN, the first one since the Republican nominee faced allegations of sexual misconduct. She called the accusations “lies” and stated that Trump was “egged on” into “boy talk” during a 2005 tape in which he made lewd comments about women.

“I believe my husband. I believe my husband,” she said. “This was all organized from the opposition. And with the details … did they ever check the background of these women? They don’t have any facts.”

Melania Trump comes into open as her husband faces the worst stretch of the campaign so far. The noise was made after an “Access Hollywood” recording from 2005 was made public 10 days ago. The record captured Mr. Trump bragging to the host Billy Bush that he kisses women without invitation and that he can grab women’s genitals because he is a “star”.

Ms. Trump emphasized that Donald Trump was simply being boastful. She doesn’t believe that he might have been engaged in the behavior he described.

“Sometimes I say I have two boys at home: I have my young son, and I have my husband,” she said with a slight laugh. “But I know how some men talk, and that’s how I saw it, yes.”

Ms. Trump also mentioned that her husband was approached by many women who were sexually forward with him.

“I see many, many women coming to him and giving the phone numbers and, you know, want to work for him or inappropriate stuff from women,” she said. “And they know he’s married.”

Mr. Trump’s aides wanted Melania to make a public statement, especially when some Republican elected officials abandoned Trump’s candidacy due to “Access Hollywood” disclosure.

A week ago, adult children of Mr. Trump appealed to Ms. Trump to give an interview with her husband, similar to the “60 Minutes” interview that Bill and Hillary Clinton did in 1992 after sexual infidelity allegations arose against Mr. Clinton. At that time, the move was successful and helped to stabilize Mr. Clinton’s presidential campaign.

However, Ms. Trump didn’t agree for the interview.

It is not a secret that Ms. Trump has never been interested in politics. Several months ago, the information appeared that lines from her anticipated Republican National Convention speech were borrowed from Michelle Obama’s 2008 address to the Democratic National Convention. Since then, she avoided the campaign, briefly appeared at the first two general election debates. Instead of political rally, she enjoyed time with her young son, Barron.
