It is not a secret that renting a car can become a real bete noire for a traveler. What do we all seek while travelling? Right, new impressions, relaxation and lack of any stresses. And what do we get as a result? Long lines, hidden fees, and little in the way of engaging transportation.
Audi get down to solve the problem. This year, the company will be again a sponsor at the Emmy Awards. The German automaker has announced that it will partner with Airbnb to give a lucky few the vacation of a lifetime, no rental car needed.
In several days, to be more exact, starting from September 18, Airbnb will begin taking reservations for the gorgeous Rondolino Residence in Death Valley, Nevada. The house itself is amazing but there is one more surprise for the guests. Audi has prepared a 2017 Audi R8 V10 Plus Coupe. 80 acres of dry lakebed as a personal supercar playground come as a pleasant addition.
âTravel on Airbnb is all about experiences that liven up your sense of adventure and ultimately become a way of life,â said Airbnb CMO Jonathan Mildenhall. âWe love that Audi shares that same spirit and are excited to offer this experience with them to those who live to drive, live to travel and live to adventure.â
Audi and Airbnb have prepared even more surprises â as if the car and residence werenât enough. Relaxation at the Rondolino Residence comes with a full VIP treatment courtesy of Audi. Guests will enjoy a luxury chauffeur from the airport, meals prepared by a personal chef, and multiple evening activities and entertainment to fit every taste. It is interesting that the Rondolino Residence even doesnât have an address â the only way to find it is by using GPS coordinates.
âFor those who live to drive, welcome home. This October, Audi and Airbnb are bringing you a once in a lifetime experience – to be one of the few to sit behind the wheel of the new Audi R8 V10 plus. By day youâll get the chance to experience the car to its full potential in Death Valley, and by night sleep under the stars in one-of-a-kind Airbnb architectural gemâ, says Airbnb.
Audi and Airbnb are going to offer seven three-day guest stays in October. The price will be $610 per night. First bookings will be made on September 18, with a new set of dates being released each day after at 6:00 p.m. PDT until September 24.
