“Rory literally just staring at the sky, pondering about her kitty life”, her ‘mom’ Kelsey said on her Instagram page. The video has scored about 35 million views in just four days since it was posted on Facebook. “I have such admiration for animals because of how fascinated they are by the things we take for granted everyday,” Kelsey wrote. “And yes I let my kitty lay on the dashboard, she’s my excuse to drive in the carpool lane.”

While most users note how cute kitten appears as she’s laying there up against the windshield, some have also expressed worry.

“I’m a little concerned here that no one has commented on the fact that the speedometer is in the 70s and there’s really people like this driving around with cats on their dashboards.”

Rory has responded to those who have shared their fears.

“As you can all tell, I love to lay on my ma’s dashboard. But don’t worry everybody we play it safe and drive weaaallly carefully.”

Rory’s Facebook page claims that the relaxing kitty was rescued in July 2015 and suffers from feline leukemia virus. Rory’s social media presence is also being used to help raise awareness for shelter animals.

“Everyday my parents remind me of how lucky I am to be part of the 29% of pets that get adopted from shelters, and it makes me sad to think about the pets that aren’t as lucky as me :(,” the page’s descriptio reads.

“So now I told my Ma and Pa that I, Rory “The Roarior” want to “Shine A Light” ;) on how important it is to adopt not shop as well as educating the big people on why spaying and neutering your pets will help lower the numbers of the poor little homeless kitties and puppies and other animals on the streets and all the pointless killing.”
