Watch the ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Trailer

The Force is back with the new Star Wars trailer.

“There has been an awakening… Have you felt it?” opens the highly anticipated trailer for the next installment of the iconic Star Wars.

The first teaser trailer of the new “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” gives a glimpse of roaring flight of the Millennium Falcon, updated Imperial Stormtroopers, soccer-looking droids and th missed sound of lightsabers.

The forthcoming installment in a new trilogy also sees the return of original “Star Wars” trilogy stars Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Kenny Baker.

The list of newcomers of the J.J. Abrams film includes John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serki, as well as Academy Award winner Lupita Nyong’o.

However, the trailer, which debuted online on Apple’s iTunes Trailers site,  didn’t cast any light on the plot and didn’t  featured the beloved heros – Luke, Leia, and Han. But according to Screenrant, things have turned thorny after the defeat of the Emperor in the last movie.

The website also suspects that John Boyega’s Stormtrooper will encounter Daisy Ridley’s character after he got stranded on a deserted planet, probably Tatooine.

Ridley’s character may help Boyega’s bad guy character to heal and sustain himself on the planet, after which he will transform into a good guy and together they will discover a severed hand holding a lightsaber. They then decide to return it to its real owner.

Ridley and Boyega will finally meet the legendary Han Solo and Chewbacca who will recognise the lightsaber as that of Skywalker’s. After finding Skywalker, they come to know about the wickedness of the Inquisitors who secretly partnered with Sith in order to destroy the Jedi Masters or Jedi-in-training.

Many Hollywood nerds filled with force to celebrate the release of the first “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” teaser trailer.

“The cynicism and crap that comes along with being a fat, middle-aged man goes away in the face of this trailer,” Kevin Smith told saComlink in a video interview about his reaction to seeing the new trailer for director J.J. Abrams’ “Episode VII.” “At least it did for me, man. It took me back to that moment in my youth.”

“Hot Fuzz” director Edgar Wright tweeted that the trailer gave him “the tingles” and gave a shout out to the film’s hero, British actor John Boyega, who had also starred in the Wright-produced, “Attack the Block.”

Abrams and Lucasfilm made waves last week when it was revealed that the first trailer would debut in select theaters around the country on Nov. 28.

On Wednesday, Team “Star Wars” announced that the trailer would also be available online for those who didn’t want to make a trek out to their local multiplex. The Force is strong with this marketing campaign. “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” is out on Dec. 18, 2015.
