‘Fast and Furious 7’ Movie Gets New Title [Video]

The new film in the ‘Fast & Furious’ franchise, which debutes April 3, 2015, got a new name and a new poster.

The next “Fast and Furious” installation has been renamed and got a different official title in the States. Now the highly-anticipated movie, which is extected to hit the theaters April 3, 2015, is called “Furious 7.”

Universal Studios made the official announcement on the movie’s Facebook page, alongside with a new poster featuring the movie’s main characters.

“The road to FURIOUS 7 starts here. Because of our fans, our saga has grown bigger and better with every chapter. In just 7 days, we will reveal the first trailer for our next installment – FURIOUS 7 – at The Road to Furious 7: Trailer Launch Event at Universal Studios in Los Angeles!” said the announcement.

Fans will have a chance to ask cast member question on the Instagram account of the movie, posting a video with the question and the #AskFurious7 search hashtag. Also, it is possible to leave questions in the comments section on the film’s Facebook page.

The “Furious 7” is directed by James Wan from a script by Chris Morgan based on characters by Gary Scott Thompson. The cast includes Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Dwayne Johnson, Tyrese Gibson, Jason Statham, Tony Jaa, and Kurt Russell.

Franchise star Paul Walker shot most of his scenes for the film before his 2013 death, and his brothers, Cody and Caleb, will appear in the movie to fill in any plot holes.

“It was cool that his brothers wanted to help,” Diesel told Entertainment Tonight about Walker’s siblings in a previous interview while promoting “Guardians of the Galaxy.”

“It was validating in a way that his family cared so much about this saga and the completion of Paul’s last work,” he continued. “But it didn’t make the process any easier because there’s only one Paul Walker.”

Paul Walker’s character will not be killed off, as it was previously rumored. Brian O’Conner will be “retired.” Therefore, fans and critics do not have to wonder about the death of Brian O’Conner occurring during this film – regardless of what happens in the story.

The changes that were made in order to allow this to happen without any complications or plot holes required additional scenes to be written and filmed. However, by delaying the release of the movie, the cast and crew were able to get the job done, says Inquisitr.

Meanwhile, fans can take a glimpse at the teaser that not only includes Ludacris, Diesel and the late Walker, but also the film’s other stars like Michelle Rodriguez, Dwayne (The Rock) Johnson, Jordana Brewster, and Tyrese Gibson.
