Jennifer Lawrence and the Coldplay singer have been dating since June after the actress, 24, split from X-Men co-star Nicholas Hoult, 24.
Meanwhile, sources close to Hoult insist that the actor is currently dating his “Equals” co-star and Twilight heroine Kristen Stewart.
Stewart, who has previously dated her Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson before having an affair with her “Snow White and the Huntsman” director Rupert Sanders.
The Coldplay frontman was previously married to “Iron Man” star Gwyneth Paltrow. The couple announced their decidion to split after more than 10 years of marriage this March. The two made the announcement on the Oscar winner’s website, Goop, with a post titled “Conscious Uncoupling.”
“It is with hearts full of sadness that we have decided to separate. We have been working hard for well over a year, some of it together, some of it separated, to see what might have been possible between us, and we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate,” the statement read.
The famous duo added, “We are, however, and always will be a family, and in many ways we are closer than we have ever been. We are parents first and foremost, to two incredibly wonderful children and we ask for their and our space and privacy to be respected at this difficult time. We have always conducted our relationship privately, and we hope that as we consciously uncouple and coparent, we will be able to continue in the same manner.”
Since the breakup, the former spouses managed to save amicable and friendly relationships and were even still living together at their Brentwood home in June.
“They’ve tried to keep things as stable and consistent as possible for their kids,” a source close to the couple told reporters at the time.
“They spend a lot of time together as a family and haven’t changed things since they announced they were splitting up. Other than taking off their wedding bands, they seem closer than ever.”
Lawrence called it quits with her “X-men” co-star earlier this summer, with a source unveiling to tabloids that the breakup was “very amicable,” adding that their successful careers made it difficult to find time for their relationship.
“They spent a lot of time apart because of work, and it was difficult on their relationship,” the insider said.
During a recent interview with Marie Claire magazine, Jennifer admitted that she wasn’t ready to rush into taking her relationship with Hoult.
“We’re so young that it would almost be like if we lived in the same city, what would happen? We’d be living together,” she told the magazine when asked about the ongoing rumors that she was engaged. “At least this way he’s in the same boat as I am: We can go out and have our own lives and know that we have each other.”
She continued, “When we’re busy, we agree to mutually ignore each other. Not completely, but neither of us gets mad when the other doesn’t text back or call. Life’s super busy. Obviously you know what they’re doing, and you trust them.”
Both Lawrence and Martin were not available for comments.
