Erin Heatherton’s incredible appearance made her one of the top supermodels in the world, but she revealed today that she values inner beauty far more than her sexy curves and beautiful face.

The 25-year-old beauty told Miami magazine Ocean Drive that when it comes to how she perceives herself, it’s what’s inside that counts.

“I’m not perfect. I never identified with the way I look; I was just born this way,” she said. “I don’t feel rejection if I’m not the right person for a job, because that’s not where I find my self-worth. I’m a beautiful person, and that’s not because of my modeling career.”

She went on, adding: “There are good shots, and there are bad shots, but it’s just like playing a character. If you think of the top five people that you care about the most in your life, you probably don’t care if they look good in every angle or photo.”

In the photo shot for Ocean Frive, Heatherton shows off her bikini body as she strikes a pose in the season’s hottest swimsuits.

“On the cover, she kneels on a beachside shore in a floral one-piece with a plunging neckline exposing her cleavage,” The Daily Mail describes. “Another photo sees her lying in the sand in a skimpy patterned bikini, her hair and body soaked from the ocean.”

When asked about her figure and her body proportions the model replied: “That’s the standard tale of most models. I was always the tallest, so that contributed to me being a tomboy and playing sports. A lot of my friends were boys, but I didn’t have “boyfriends” in high school, really. I was 5-foot-5 in fifth grade; I grew six inches in two years. When I was 15, I stopped growing at 5-foot-11.”

She also revealed her attitude towards working with women who are considered to be icons in the modeling world: “In the beginning, I was surrounded by the most beautiful people in the world, and I spoke to these icons for five minutes and I didn’t think they were beautiful anymore. When you’re surrounded by the best of the best, it’s a really quick way to understand what does matter. Ever since I was a kid, I never really cared what people thought. I was kind of a loner.”

The beauty also said how she reacts to being in the very middle of attention as a celebrity: “It’s not a comfortable feeling. With modeling it’s fantasy, so it doesn’t touch you, but when it’s your personal life, then it can burn. But that’s part of the job. It helped me to find more inner strength.”

Heatherton spoke of her live in New York where she moved at the age of 17: “I really loved it. I felt so charged by the energy, and I would just walk around alone. New York is a place where everybody is just alone together in the street, doing their thing. It was a lot of self growth during those years; that kind of education is priceless.”

Erin admitted that she likes Miami as well: “Miami is amazing. It’s such a comfortable place. There are so many different neighborhoods and so many different experiences you can have. The beaches are beautiful. The people are really alive, and the spirit is quite eclectic. It’s just a bold place, a colorful place. It’s so laid-back and carefree.”
