The younger brother of Prince William, Prince Harry, has ended 2-year-old relationship with Cressida Bonas.
“They’re off, but I don’t think it’s for good,” a source told reporters. “They hit a rocky patch and this decision is the result of that. Harry is the type to want to take breathers and then try again.” A spokesman at Kensington Palace tells Us: “We never comment on private lives.”
Insiders close to the couple revealed to the media that the pair found it impossible to conduct a relationship in the “full glare” of the international publications and TV coverage, a problem that had existed from the moment they began dating.
Cressida, 25, even didn’t try to hide her negative attitude towards the constant attention of being a princess-in-waiting.
One source revealed to reporters that Harry and Cressida still could eventually get back together as did the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, who also separated for a period before they eventually married.
Another friend of the couple said: “It’s very sad that they have decided to split but this is a completely amicable separation and they are remaining the very best of friends. This gives Cressida the opportunity to focus on her career but they would like to have a few days to be left alone.”
The beauty was introduced to Harry by her friend and the prince’s cousin, Princess Eugenie of York. The pair appeared cozy for months after an early appearance at “The Dark Knight Rises” premiere in London in July 2012.
Not so long time ago there’s a series of rumors appeared claiming that Cressida and her royal couple were going to tie the knots.
“Cressie is going to marry Harry,” one of her friends told The Telegraph back in September. “Harry never stops talking about marriage and children, and she has now got used to the idea. The wedding is likely to take place next year.”
One member of the couple’s social circle said: “Harry hasn’t proposed yet but it’s only a matter of time. At one point it seemed he wasn’t over Chelsy Davy and didn’t want a serious relationship but after meeting Cressida, he suspected she would be The One. She also appears to have come round to that thinking.”
The friend of the couple added: “Much to Harry’s delight, Cressida is very keen to become more serious.
“They want to remain very much as they are – with a private life away from the cameras but Cressida has quickly come around to the fact she loves Harry and will end up being part of the family.
“For now they want to enjoy as much time together before the seriousness of their relationship becomes public.”
However, Jacobi Anstruther-Gough-Calthorpe soon called the speculation that his half-sister Bonas was engaged to Harry “ludicrous,” going on to add, “It’s challenging, you can’t deny it. It’s not something that is easy for anyone dating a royal or marrying into the family or anyone in the royal family themselves. I think on some level it is different to any other type of fame.”
