The 27-year-old Hollywood star shocked everyone with her confession on her reality TV show Sunday night, revealing that she suffered a miscarriage while filming her recent documentary series.

She made the announcement during the final episode of the programme, entitled Lindsay, which airs via Oprah’s Own network. The show started just four days after she left rehab last year.

“No one knows this; I had a miscarriage for those two weeks that I took off. It’s a very long story,” she said tearfully. She explained, during the much-discussed two weeks she reportedly held up production of the series.

“That’s why on the show when it says she doesn’t want to come down, I couldn’t move, I was sick. Mentally, that messes with you.”

Immediately following Sunday’s episode, Lindsay’s mother, Dina, tweeted, “Oprah call me,” in apparent reference to Oprah Winfrey, founder of the OWN network.

News of the miscarriage comes just days after she broke her silence on a list of 36 alleged sex partners — including A-list celebrities Justin Timberlake, James Franco and Colin Farrell — that was leaked to the media.

“It was not only humiliating,” said the star, “but just mean. That was part of my Betty Ford. It’s step number five, or number eight. It is your sexual inventory and that was in my Betty Ford book, so that was really personal to my sponsor. You write that for your sponsor.”

She said that she finds the show difficult viewing because it hones in on such a tumultuous period of her life.

“Watching this series, I just know how I felt at that moment and I can relate to that girl, which sounds kind of crazy, but I’m like, ‘Oh my god, this is really sad. Who’s helping her?’ ‘There was a lot going on in my life then,” she explained. I cried so many times watching it. Because I don’t see it as me – it’s strange. It’s weird.”

The “Mean Girls” actress also justified still going out regularly bar-hopping, insisting she can control friends drinking around her.

“I feel OK being around people that drink,” she said. “And I have friends that are not sober.  People are going to drink when they’re around me – that’s not gonna not be a part of my life. My friends are allowed to, you know, have drinks.

She continued: “It doesn’t mean that you’re a bad person – it doesn’t mean that you’re a bad influence. They wouldn’t be around me drinking if they knew I couldn’t handle it. And that’s how I know they’re my friends.”

Lindsay also joked about how she may let her worst side out again as she faced being kicked out of her apartment as the owner planned to sell.

“I don’t think anybody’s going to buy it – I’ll scare them away,’ she laughed. I have ideas. I could just use my name to use as my benefit. Like, ‘Have Lindsay Lohan *** this place up.’”
