Jenny McCarthy revealed to the whole world that she’s engaged to her boyfriend, singer and actor Donnie Wahlberg. The bride-to-be announced the news during “The View” show, sending her co-hosts and the studio audience into shock and shrieks of excitement.
The woman jumped up and down on stage by herself and with her co-hosts, except for Barbara Walters, who’s 84 year old, who’s thinking over her retirement for good and isn’t ready to jump around on stage.
Soon after the singer himself showed up, sneaking on stage behind McCarthy, causing more squealing and more jumping up and down.
McCarthy demonstrated to everybody her incredibly big ring, a yellow sapphire, and revealed to the audience how her fiance, 44, proposed, enlisting her autistic son Evan, to help deliver separate notecards with the words ‘Will You Marry” to her.
After the last card, Wahlberg appeared wearing a T-shirt reading, “Me?”
The TV star, 41, was married before to famous actor Jim Carrey, dissolved in tears just telling the story. However, the couple said that date for the wedding has not been set yet.
“All the squealing may have drowned out the tense debate McCarthy is still embroiled in over her antipathy to vaccines, which she believes may have caused her son’s autism,” reports USA Today.
An actress and former “Playboy” Playmate, also works as a columnist at the Chicago Sun-Times, where she published a column over the weekend claiming that she is not as anti-vaccine as she is portrayed in the media.
By the way, previously McCarthy seemed to be pretty convinced that she’d never marry again, it seems being with Wahlberg changed her mind. The two announced that ther began dating last summer, and in November the actress said that she was starting to view marriage as a possibility.
“You know, I’ve said on every interview that I was like, ‘Never, I’ll never get married again, ever,’ and, of course, you never say never,” she told Bethenny Frankel on her talk show, “Bethenny.” “I think he would be an amazing husband, so if he does (propose), I would for sure say yes.”
“I went a year without dating anybody,” the buxom blonde recalled when they began dating. “So I don’t know if I was really randy or really ready, but he was there and I gave him my phone number.” She added, “I’ve never given a guy my number, but I was interested.”
McCarthy, 40, was dumbfounded when she didn’t immediately hear from Wahlberg. “‘It took two weeks for him to call me back, and I thought for sure he was playing for a different team, if you know what I’m saying,” she said. “That’s of course my ego, a girl’s ego: ‘He must be married, he’s gay, what’s wrong?'”
