The renowned Italian alcoholic spirit company has just unveiled their highly-anticipated 2014 calendar – and the leading lady definitely doesn’t disappoint in her latest role.

This year the iconic, edgy actress Uma Thurman takes the lead in the 2014 edition of the Calendar which is entitled ‘Worldwide Celebrations’, with each month focusing on a unique festival from a number of different cultures around the world.

Campari calls the Calendar “a window on the world” spanning every continent, with Uma and her trusty glass of Campari along for the ride in every shot.

Shot by renowned photographer Koto Bolofo, Uma is photographed in images inspired by festivals like Spring Festival in Beijing, the biggest celebration in China, to Hanami in Japan where people enjoy the cherry blossoms of Spring, as well as Midsummer’s Eve in England, where revelers celebrate the Summer Solstice at the historic Stonehenge.

The blonde beauty stars as the Calendar heroine adorned in a collection of beautiful dresses and shoes from luxurious houses including Atelier Versace, Stella McCartney, Zac Posen and Chopard.

“The 2014 Campari Calendar is a stunning piece of artwork. It conveys the positive energy and pleasure that Campari lovers around the world enjoy through worldwide celebrations of culture in such a striking and powerful fashion,” Thurman said of her newest gig.

“The nature of my career has me all over the globe and there is nothing more enjoyable to me than basking in local festivities and culture. The 2014 Calendar captures beautiful vignettes of these worldwide celebrations and I am thrilled to be part of such a special artistic project.”

Having been born in South Africa, raised in Great Britain and now residing in France, Koto Bolofo is a true world citizen, enabling him to embody the theme of the Calendar even further.

Bolofo is well known for his powerful portraits, innovative fashion shoots and numerous short films. He has shot for a number of high-profile publications including Vogue, Vanity Fair and GQ, and has created advertising campaigns for luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton and Dior.

“For me, the Campari Calendar is all about capturing pleasure, intrigue and charisma. I am confident the 2014 edition embodies all of these qualities,” comments Bolofo. “Working with such a stunning muse as Uma was a joy and helped push the boundaries of what this project could be. I am truly thrilled by the passion and style that the 2014 Calendar embodies.”

Uma, who has starred in a number of high-profile blockbuster movies such as Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill, follows in the footsteps of a long line of Hollywood A-listers who have struck a pose for the Italian brand, including Jessica Alba, Penélope Cruz, Salma Hayek, Milla Jovovich and Eva Mendes.

The Campari Calendar is one of the world’s iconic artistic calendars.  The lively and creative images from the 15th edition of the celebrated Calendar will be revealed on November 11, 2013 in Milan.  The coveted Campari Calendar, of which only 9,999 copies are printed, will not go on sale but will be distributed to Campari VIPs internationally.
