The award-winning producer and singer married model Helen Lasichanh on Saturday in Miami, surrounded by closest friends and family, it emerged today.
It has been widely reported that the “Blurred Lines” performer wed Lasichanh in a secret French ceremony in August, but the couple celebrated their commitment to each other only yesterday.
According to the Miami-Dade Clerk of Courts Marriage License Bureau Manager Robert Reboso, the couple applied for a marriage license in person and it was issued on Monday, October 7.
The two were spotted being snapped by photographer Terry Richardson on board of a boat called “Never Say Never,” wearing tartan plaid outfits, before reportedly exchanging vows at the Kampong National Tropical Botanical Gardens, reports PEOPLE Magazine.
The newly weds have been together more than five years and have a 4-year-old son, Rocket. The couple got engaged in July 2012. The music mogul previously told Savannah Guthrie how lucky he feels to be in love with his best friend.
“It’s awesome,” Pharrell said. “I can’t tell anyone what to do. I can’t give anyone relationship advice. But the bestie thing is awesome. Every night is like a sleepover.”
According to Us Weekly, some celebrities had been spotted among guests, including Usher and Busta Rhymes. Both singers shared a song with the couple’s friends and family members.
“Usher and Busta Rhymes did a mini concert at the wedding,” a source told reporters. “It was so fun. The little concert was amazing. It [was] the most fun wedding I’ve ever been to.”
“Of course they’re playing some of [Williams’] hits tonight,” another insider added.
