Britney Spears’ Single ‘Work Bitch’ Debuts after Leak [Video]

Britney Spears was forced to debut her new single as it leaked online one day before the official release.

Britney is looking absolutely incredible in her new cover art for the latest single “Work Bi**h”, which leaked a day early on Sept. 15.

The highly expected single was scheduled for premiere on Monday night – the singer has spoke of the ‘Work Bitch’ for weeks and even launched a countdown clock on her website.

However, everything changed in one night as Sunday morning saw a low-quality version of the song appeared online. In response to the leak, the pop star’s team was forced to speed up the debut for the official cut to 3 p.m. ET.

The singer took to Twitter to express her regrets with the leak, saying: “Woke up today and saw that a low quality version of Work Bitch had leaked :(”

“It is safe to say that this isn’t the Britney we’re used to hearing. Coming in fierce with a dance club beat that almost feels like an alarm, Britney does more commanding than singing, as she repeatedly tells someone that they “better work, bi**h.” It’s sort of like a more adult way of saying, “Come and get it,” writes The Hollywood Life of the released single.

“The iconic artist is definitely mixing things up — bringing in a very new sound — and we have to commend her for it. There’s a reason Britney has stayed relevant after all of these years — she isn’t afraid of trying something new and when she makes a creative choice she sticks to it 100%. “Work Bi**h” proves that she may really be this generation’s Madonna.”

The singer wrote on her Twitter account: “Now It’s Britney AND Miley bitch! #TheyreNotReady for this @MileyCyrus… ;) #SMSbangerz.”

Soon after the official premiere, the single was posted to the singer’s official Vevo page and Britney then informed fans they would be able to get their hands on the song sooner than expected, saying “Just got word that #WORKBxxCH is going to be on @iTunesMusic tonight at 12:01am ET! Who is staying up late w/ me?!”

“So…how’d we do?,” Spears asked her fans shortly after the release.  “Hope you all love it as much as I do?! #WORKBxxTCHPremiere”

The video for the single has been shot by famous director  Ben Mor, who had previously worked with the pop star.

Last year the director had only the nicest things to say about Britney.

“I mean, she’s kind of an enigma. Every generation has their pop queen/icon, and I think she is just that person,” he said.

“Needless to say, her track record speaks for itself — her albums, her music, her iconic past videos and all the stuff she’s done. She’s earned her stripes. You’re dealing with an institution.”

According to Mashable, now Britney is scheduled to appear on Good Morning America on Monday to make an announcement associated with her new song, possibly revealing a Las Vegas residency.”

Three months ago the ‘Toxic’ performer released “Ooh La La,” the lead single to “The Smurfs 2” soundtrack. Earlier this year, the singer had scored another extra famous hit with her Will.i.am collaboration “Scream & Shout.”
