Justin Timberlake is apparently set to reunite his former band member of the extra popular band ‘NSync this Sunday at VMAs, reports say.
The news comes from The New York Post that was informed that the ‘Tunnel Vision’ singer and his former bandmates will take the stage together during the show Sunday night at the Barclays Center.
“Timberlake, who topped the charts in the late ’90s with the band, will perform at the VMAs and receive the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award,” the publication claims.
“But we’re told former bandmates J.C. Chasez, Lance Bass,Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick are scheduled to join him onstage for a reunion performance.”
Should the rumored gathering happen, it’ll probably become one of the group’s first performances as a unit since the band split eleven years ago.
By the way, a reunited pop band can’t be considered as the greatest leap of the imagination. And the fast-spreading speculation certainly won’t do the VMAs ratings any harm, Billboard supposes.
‘N Sync has just had a reunion of sorts. J.C. Chasez, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick were spotted during Timberlake’s show with Jay Z last Friday in Miami.
According to the rumors, the pop band will reform to celebrate Timberlake collecting the coveted Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, for his “pioneering and innovative impact” on music videos.
The ‘What Goes Around Comes Around’ performer is nominated for six awards and is up for Video of the Year for his clip for “Mirrors.”
This year has become a very productive one for JT who released music videos for “Suit & Tie,” “Tunnel Vision,” and “Take Back the Night.”
His music video for “Tunnel Vision’ has been banned for nudity soon after it was released.
“Tunnel Vision” shows the singer in muted colors, dancing to the latest single off of his latest alsbum ”The 20/20 Experience.”
The clip was soon banned from YouTube for violating nudity policies. However, the singer did warn everybody when announcing the video as he said: ”Check out the new video for Tunnel Vision and be ready…it’s explicit. -teamJT.”
The 20/20 experience was released six years after Timberlake unveiled his last album FutureSex/LoveSounds which had become extra-popular. Since then Justin Timberlake has been focused on his acting career and personal life.
The news of N’Sync reunion comes the next day after Lady Gaga revealed to the hosts of “Good Morning America” that she she will be opening the MTV Video Music Awards.
During the morning show the 27-year-old made a live appearance to introduce her new music video ‘Applause’. Gaga appeared in studio wearing a tiny white dress and demonstrating a new haircut.
“My kind of music that I make is the kind that you look at,” Gaga said, revealing that she intended to release the video and song on the same day, but last weekend hackers crashed her plans.
