Lady Gaga Debuts ‘Applause’ Music Video on ‘Good Morning America’ [Video]

The singer debuted her new ‘Applause’ music video on ‘Good Morning America’ on Monday.

Lady Gaga’s new music video for her latest single “Applause” made its debut on “Good Morning America” on Monday morning.

The dance tune is arrayed in an equally dance-filled retro video, starring the singer who appears in very little clothing showing off her incredibly colored figure.

“Though mostly filmed in black and white, the “Applause” video is splashed with color every once in a while as Mama Monster thrashes around sporting her dramatic face paint,” reports The New York Daily News.

“Occasionally there’s an inexplicable adornment — like Gaga’s head attached to the body of a swan — but for the most part it’s a straight-forward profile of the artist herself.”

During the morning show the 27-year-old even made a live appearance to introduce her new music video. Gaga appeared in studio wearing a tiny white dress and demonstrating a new haircut.

“My kind of music that I make is the kind that you look at,” Gaga said, revealing that she intended to release the video and song on the same day, but last weekend hackers crashed her plans.

Gaga also told the show’s host that she will be opening the MTV Video Music Awards with a performance of her new single Aug. 25 in Brooklyn, N.Y.

The news comes a week after the singer appeared on the cover of V Magazine, showing off her naked body.

Ahead of the November release of her new album, Lady Gaga stripped down for V Magazine’s photographers Inez van Lambsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin in the cover shoot.

“But in one shot, it looked like Gaga, 27, could have used a hot flannel, to wash the black muck off her face and her bust,” The Daily Mail describes the photoshoot.

V magazine features the Alehandro singer on four different covers, with each being custom-designed by world-renowned design houses, Balenciaga, Armani, Saint Laurent and Versace.

The first picture of a naked singer was uploaded to Instagram a month ago by Inez and Vinoodh.

A week ago Gaga also promised an as-yet-unnamed single on August 19 and an accompanying app that she said will bring, “ARTculture into Pop in a reverse Warholian expedition.”

“Exploring Gaga’s existence as a cultural interface, the user will share in the ‘adrenaline of fame’ as they build and share their own projects, chat with one another and watch in real-time on a virtual globe as ARTPOP explodes onto the physical and virtual universe as one on November 11, our ‘BIG BANG!’”

“Built by TechHAUS, the technological branch of HAUS OF GAGA, the app itself is a musical and visual engineering system that combines art, fashion, and technology with a new interactive worldwide community – ‘the auras’,” explains the post, which doesn’t skimp on grand claims (or capital letters).

The singer had earlier announced the official pre-order and release dates for ARTPOP, her new album, and also the app through which it will be delivered to smartphones and tablets.

After more than a year of dropping hints, Lady Gaga says Nov. 11 is the release date of her album (which EDM wunderkind Zedd produced), along with an app, ARTPOP.

ARTPOP, which is due November 11, is of course more than just an album. While details about the music have been few and far between, Gaga opened a small window into what fans can expect in the post.
