Kim Kardashian and her fiance appeared in public for the first time since the reality-star has given birth to her daughter North, taking the infant to a doctor appointment.

“Wearing a denim shirt, tight black leggings and Minnetonka “Woodstock” suede fringe boots, the new mom and her baby daddy showed up at daughter North’s pediatrician’s office Wednesday,” The New York Daily News reports.

However, the long-awaited public debut of the baby was covered with wraps. Baby North was in her car seat, hidden by a white blanket as a nanny carried her from the parking garage into the doctor’s Los Angeles office.

At one point, the smiling father stopped to tie a sweater around Kim’s waist and take a large $20,000 Hermes leather bag she had been lugging.

“The bag is a gift from Kanye. He had it made for her,” a source said. “It’s her travel bag. She’s using it for the baby.”

The news comes a few days after a scandal surfaced involving the young mum and Katie Couric.

In her interview to In Touch magazine, Couric, 56, revealed that she can’t understand why Kim and the rest of her star family are so famous.

Katie said: “I think it’s mostly teenage girls that are interested.”

Which is more, Couric’s message even had a printing error, truncating ‘North West’ to just ‘No.’

Kim seems to be livid after the 56-year-old criticized her in an interview on Thursday despite sending her a gift for Nori.

The angry reality star took to Twitter to upload a picture of baby clothes and a note sent by Katie onto her Intagram account and urged her not to ‘talk s**t‘ if she’s going to pretend to be nice.

The journalist has already released a statement, saying sorry for offending the star.

“I’ve met Kim before and I think she’s a really sweet person,” she said.

“I was responding to a reporter’s question, and explaining how I’m intrigued by the public’s fascination with her family. I didn’t mean to hurt her feelings. The gift is genuine, and I’m happy for Kim and Kanye.”

By the way, Katie is not the first person to diss reality TV’s first family, although Barack Obama is one of the most recent.

Speaking on how the American Dream has changed because of society’s obsession with celebrity culture, the president cited Kim and the father of her daughter as examples due to their extreme wealth and consumerism.

“Were there things that all of us might have liked to have? Sure, but partly, I think, there also has been a shift in culture. We weren’t exposed to things we didn’t have in the same way kids these days are.”

“There was not that window into the lifestyles of the rich and famous. Kids weren’t monitoring every day what Kim Kardashian was wearing, or where Kanye Westwas going on vacation, and thinking that somehow that was the mark of success,” Obama concluded.
