The Poker Face singer is quite known for baring her flesh for the art of fashion. The Italian born has exposed herself yet again, but this time for the September issue of V magazine.
Ahead of the November release of her new album, Lady Gaga stripped down for V Magazine’s photographers Inez van Lambsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin in the cover shoot.
“But in one shot, it looked like Gaga, 27, could have used a hot flannel, to wash the black muck off her face and her bust,” The Daily Mail describes the photoshoot.
V magazine features the Alehandro singer on four different covers, with each being custom-designed by world-renowned design houses, Balenciaga, Armani, Saint Laurent and Versace.
The first picture of a naked singer was uploaded to Instagram a month ago by Inez and Vinoodh.
“With her hair backcombed into blonde voluminous delight, it seemed the popstar was back to her toned best following her hip surgery this year,” writes The Daily Mail.
According to the magazine, “Gaga considers each cover an extension of herself, representing her at different stages of her life.”
The photoshoot comes soon after the singer announced the official pre-order and release dates for ARTPOP, her new album, and also the app through which it will be delivered to smartphones and tablets.
After more than a year of dropping hints, Lady Gaga says Nov. 11 is the release date of her album (which EDM wunderkind Zedd produced), along with an app, ARTPOP.
ARTPOP, which is due November 11, is of course more than just an album. While details about the music have been few and far between, Gaga opened a small window into what fans can expect in the post.
According to the statement released Friday, it âmusically mirrors Gagaâs creative process as she passes through the medium of each artist she collaborates with, scoring a blueprint on her journey.â
The result is âa ârageâ of electronic passion and fury defining each artistic process from beginning to end. ARTPOP could mean anything. But for her, this is a celebration of obsession.â
Gaga also promised an as-yet-unnamed single on August 19 and an accompanying app that she said will bring, âARTculture into Pop in a reverse Warholian expedition.â
âExploring Gagaâs existence as a cultural interface, the user will share in the âadrenaline of fameâ as they build and share their own projects, chat with one another and watch in real-time on a virtual globe as ARTPOP explodes onto the physical and virtual universe as one on November 11, our âBIG BANG!ââ
âBuilt by TechHAUS, the technological branch of HAUS OF GAGA, the app itself is a musical and visual engineering system that combines art, fashion, and technology with a new interactive worldwide community â âthe aurasâ,â explains the post, which doesnât skimp on grand claims (or capital letters).
On Nov. 10, she will unleash what she calls âartRAVE,â an exhibit celebrating the various aspects of ARTPOP, everything but the actual album itself.
âSheâs been very diligent about her recovery,â an unnamed source close to Gaga told US Weekly âShe knows that a lot of people depend on her.â The source said sheâs also been pulling all-nighters in the studio recently to get ready for the ARTPOP reveal, writing some songs on the fly.
