Megan Fox is pregnant again. The “Transformers” star is expecting baby number 2 with her husband, Brian Austin Green. The couple welcomed their first son Noah Shannon Green in September last year while Megan is also stepmother to Brian’s 11-year-old son Kassius from a previous relationship.
“I can confirm Megan is expecting her second child with her husband Brian. They are both very happy,” a rep for the actress told The New York Post.
Fox has recently been filming “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” with her “Transformers” director, Michael Bay. Since the pregnancy is still in the early stages, it will not affect shooting.
The news should come as no surprise following an interview with Marie Claire earlier this year which quoted Megan admitting that she and Brian were keen to have more kids together.
The 27-year-old Fox told Marie Claire UK in January that motherhood has changed her perspective on her career: “The ultimate satisfaction for me is being with my son. All I wanted to do my whole life was have a baby and, now, I’ve finally done it. I just want to give Noah as much of myself as I can. And I want to have more kids. That is where my heart is.”
Green and Fox started dating in 2004 and had a on-again, off-again relationship up until they were married in June 2010.
“He’s my soul mate,” Fox told Marie Claire. “But that doesn’t mean it doesn’t take work, because we are very, very different.”
Green — who also has an 11-year-old son from his previous relationship with actress Vanessa Marcil — has joked of parenting: “I really felt young for my age until my new son was born. I’ve never felt so 40 in my life.”
Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green have kept their baby boy out of the spotlight as much as possible, and will likely continue to do the same with their newest addition.
Though Noah has rarely been photographed with his famous parents, Fox has said that their little boy looks “70 percent” like Green. The couple managed to keep their son’s birth a secret for two weeks, as Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth also welcomed son Tennessee on Sept. 27.
“We got home and thought, ‘This is unbelievable,'” Green explained on Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS-FM radio show in November 2012. “Because we weren’t expecting to get away with it. So we just figured we would go with it as long as we could.”
Once news of their son’s arrival leaked, Fox confirmed Noah’s birth via her official Facebook account. “We are humbled to have the opportunity to call ourselves the parents of this beautiful soul and I am forever grateful to God for allowing me to know this kind of boundless, immaculate love,” the Friends With Kids star wrote. “Thanks to those of you who wish to send your positive energy and well wishes.”
Fox isn’t the first Hollywood star to get pregnant so soon after having a baby. Jessica Simpson announced she was pregnant with her second child, son Ace Knute, only seven months after giving birth to daughter Maxwell Drew. Tori Spelling was pregnant with her fourth child, son Finn Davey, only two months after the birth of her daughter Hattie Margaret.
