iPhone 5S release date is scheduled on September 6 alongside with unveiled of low cost iPhone Light, claims German blog iFun.
iFun cited a very “credible source” who on the condition of anonymoity that “the next-generation iPhone will be according to our information on 6 September come on the market. In addition to that day, “two new types of devices” to be available – and thus are not two different color variations or memory meant.”
If the German tech blog is true to live, the Cupertino-based company will release its full-fledge iPhone 5S and a cheaper version of the popular handset.
The allerged release will come a bit earlier in the year than previous versions of the device to hit the market, reminds The Huffington Post.
The iPhone 5 was first demonstrated to the public on Sept. 12 of last year and entered shops in the U.S. nine days later. The iPhone 4S was announced on Oct. 4, 2011, and went on sale in the U.S. 10 days later.
The iPhone 5 and its cheaper analogue reflect the recent statement of KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who had previously insisted that the Californian tech giant will release an iPhone 5S and a cheaper iPhone 5.
However, Kuo said that the iPad 5 and iPhone 5 featuring plastic casing will be ready for launch in early September while the full-fledged iPhone 5S release date was pushed back to the end of the month.
As The International Business Times writes, “Apple confirmed that it will launch two new products before 2013 ends. However, the company does not specifically whether an iPhone 5S release date may happen.”
“The full-fledged iPhone 5S release date is rumoured to come with powerful by A7 quad core chip. It will include some features such as Near Field Communication, 13MP back camera and longer battery life. And just like its brother, iPad, it may have a large internal storage of up to 128GB,” the paper adds.
By the way, according to rumors, the cheaper version of the extra-popular handset is expected to feature a 4-inch screen display, a dual core processor and an 8MP back camera all housed in a cheap plastic casing.
However, based on Kuo’s note, the cheaper iPhone may come with iPhone 5’s specs and features.
It was initially reported that the new versions of the Apple’s handset will be launched in June along with the upgraded iOS. However, other reports stated that the devices will make its debut in September.
The Apple chief executive Tim Cook also dropped several hints that the upcoming iPhone 6 and 5S will be released later this year. The company’s CEO revealed earlier that no new products are to launch before the end of the year.
“Our teams are hard at work on some amazing new hardware, software, and services that we can’t wait to introduce this fall and throughout 2014.”
As usual, the Cupertino-based tech company is tight-lipped on the details of its upcoming devices.
