The Hollywood couple were set to wed this summer, but so far, no wedding has materialized.
Multiple sources told People that plans for the highly anticipated wedding between the “Friends” star and her fiancé Justin Theroux have been put on hold and their busy schedules might be to blame.
A few months ago, arrangements were in full swing, says a source who speaks to Aniston often. “Wedding bands were designed and Jen was deciding on a dress,” says the source. The actress had a date in mind, too – this spring.
However, Aniston and her 41-year-old husband-to-be are “overloaded with work commitments and a massive house renovation.” A source emphasized, “wedding talk has stopped.”
“With all the work on the house, they just thought it was too much to plan a wedding as well. So they decided to step back and focus on the house. There are other priorities [besides marriage.] She’s very busy.”
Theroux just landed a lead role on a new HBO pilot, a Damon Lindelof thriller titled “The Leftovers.” Aniston just wrapped up work on the comedy “We’re the Millers,” and has three other film titles in production.
“They need to figure out a way to create a life that makes them both happy,” but added, “Jen can’t wait to be [Justin’s] wife,” a source added.
Also contributing to the delay, the couple has a major house renovation underway. Due to construction delays, the redesign timeline for Aniston and Theroux’s $21 million Bel Air mansion has changed, People reports.
With a packed schedule in the way, their wedding might be pushed to the end of the year. A source told MailOnline: “There’s a slight chance they’ll do something very small in next few months but Justin has told friends they may now just wait until their annual Christmas party and turn that into a wedding at home in Los Angeles.”
However, regarding this latest report, a rep for Aniston isn’t commenting, telling omg!: “We have long stopped responding to the endless rumors about Jennifer’s personal life. It serves no purpose because the rumors keep coming regardless of what we say.”
Aniston and Theroux met on the set of their film “Wanderlust” and began dating in May 2011. He popped the question in August 2012.
And this certainly isn’t the first report that has circulated claiming that Aniston and Theroux have put their wedding on hold.
In May, Us Weekly Aniston decided to delay her wedding; however, sources alleged the reasoning behind the decision was so that it wouldn’t be associated with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s big day, which according to Us Weekly, was also supposedly imminent.
Last month, Page Six reported the nups were delayed to avoid a possible overlap with her ex-husband Brad Pitt’s big day with fiancée Angelina Jolie.
“She does not want her day associated with them,” an insider told Us Weekly.
According to the source, the “Friends” star, who divorced Pitt in 2005, considered getting married before the Brangelina ceremony, but her screenwriter beau “got weirded out by all the rushing.”
