Will and Jaden Smith, Alfonso Ribeiro Recreate ‘Fresh Prince’ Magic [Video]

The sensational clip of Will Smith performing the Fresh Prince Of Bel Air theme tune on the Graham Norton Show on Friday has made it to 5 million views on YouTube in just one day.

The last time, about a year ago, Will Smith was on ‘The Graham Norton Show’ he treated the audience to a rendition of the theme tune from his old show ‘The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air’ with Gary Barlow, and the clip has had 8 million hits in the last year.

“Last time I was here I did my Fresh Prince rap – eight million YouTube hits was on that. This time I brought my DJ Jazzy Jeff,” Will told Norton in the video above.

This time it wasn’t Bel-Air, or even West Philadelphia, but Will Smith grabbed a microphone in London and proved he hasn’t forgotten his Fresh Prince roots.

Will Smith and his son Jaden, who were in London for an event that heralded the achievements of the Mayor’s Leadership Clubs and also have a movie “After Earth” ready for release, were guests on the program.

After a question by Norton on whether father and son had collaborated on music together, Smith said that while Jaden is a good rapper, it hadn’t happened as yet and probably would someday.

“We have a studio that he works in, and he’s a very good rapper,” Will said on the show.

Norton then produced two microphones and asked them if they wanted to perhaps rap together on the show

The megastar and son Jaden pleasantly shocked The Graham Norton Show audience Friday when they stood up during their appearance to promote “After Earth” and rapped the theme song to The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air – with the help of Smith’s old pal, DJ Jazzy Jeff.

Smith and Jaden then broke into “Switch”, getting the audience to pitch in on the chanting.

Heather Graham’s dance moves and Bradley Cooper’s bemused facial expression have also become viral talking points since the show went out on Friday night.

Moments later, ‘Jazzy Jeff’ started the tune as Smith rapped the sitcom’s themed-song with Jaden.

At the end of the performance the actor said to the crowd, “You like that? Well hold up Graham my man I’m not through – one more little surprise just for you.”

Smith introduced a super-secret special guest – former Fresh Prince costar Alfonso Ribeiro, who busted out his signature Carlton Banks cheesy dance moves.

The music immediately shifted to Tom Jones’ “It’s not unusual”, and the trio launched into the “Carlton Dance”, an improvised comic dance that Ribeiro’s character was famous for on the show.

The guys even delighted fans with their “Apache (Jump On It)” routine from the hit ’90s sitcom. Graham even joined in with the routine himself towards the end, as he, the Smiths and Ribeiro did the hilarious Carlton routine.

The impromptu performance also marked the first time Will and Jaden rapped in public together, says the People.

After the show, Smith and his family and friends were spotted at the posh eatery Hakkasan and was joined by other celebrity friends, The Sun reported.

According to recent media reports , Smith has hinted that he may get the music “bug” again and has been “messing around” with Kanye West in the studio a couple of times.

He showed that he’s still got the chops with an impromptu performance of “Summertime” on a recent episode of “Late Night With David Letterman” as well, writes HNGN.
