After a Thursday night confrontation with police at her New York apartment, Amanda Bynes was taken to jail, but next morning the actress was released from police custody until a July 9 court date.

Bynes’ lawyer reportedly told the judge that the she had never been in any trouble before. Amanda was warned by the judge that another arrest would lead to ‘significant bail’. Prosecutors had asked for $1,000 bail on this case but the request was denied.

Police officers were responding to reports of a disorderly person, and when they arrived at the 27-year-old’s West 47th Street apartment, the troubled actress allegedly threw a bong out the window.

The inadequate celebrity revealed to the court on Friday that she threw out the window of her 36th-floor apartment was actually a vase.

“The defendant was observed rolling a marijuana cigarette and throwing a bong out of the 36th floor window …. when there were people below,” prosecutor Chikaelo Ibeabuchi said during Bynes’ arraignment.

He added that she told the cops “it was just a vase” before freaking out and chucking the bubbler, The New York Daily News reports.

“The erratic former child star looked like a hot mess in court, sporting a platinum wig, two pink fingernails on her left hand, gray sweatpants and a black sweatshirt. She made strange faces prior to the proceeding and yelled at reporters,” the publication writes.

The troubled actress is scheduled to appear in Manhattan court July 9. Additionally, prosecutors in Burbank, Calif. could argue she is in violation of probation for driving on a suspended license near Burbank Airport last September.

“One of the conditions of her probation is obeying all laws … if there is a law violation, there could be a probation violation,” Denny Wei, an assistant prosecutor in Burbank told reporters, adding that the investigation could argue whether she violated probation without a conviction for the bong-shell allegedly dropped from her high-rise apartment.

When police officers arrived at Bynes’, her appartments smelled ‘like the set of a “Cheech and Chong” flick’.

“They knocked on the door. She answered after about five minutes and invited them in,” a police source said. “They smelled marijuana and there was smoke. They saw the bong — it was in plain view. It looks like she realized they saw it, so she took it and threw it out the window.”

Bynes’ attorney, Andrew Friedman, said cops went into her apartment for no reason: “My client completely denies ever illegally throwing anything out of her window.”

This is not the first time the former actress demonstrates erratic behavior. A police source said that the management of her building is trying to get her kicked out.

“She’s crazy, she’s not right in the head! She walks around talking to herself. She needs medical attention,” a worker said. “She comes up to me and looks at me like this,” the worker added, flashing a maniacal, Joker-style smile. “Like she’s crazy!”

A resident at the building hoped help was around the corner: “Pray for her,” said Stephen, 28. “She needs help. She’s crying out.”
