Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is recovering from hernia surgery, reports claim.

“Surgery a success! Dr repaired 3 hernial tears (fun pain). Superman is on the mend.. #WeFallWeRise,” the 40-year-old actor-wrestler tweeted Tuesday with attaching a photo of himself in a hospital bed, wearing a Superman T-shirt and hospital cap while showing off his muscles.

The actor had to miss the premiere of his upcoming movie, Pain & Gain, in Los Angeles on Monday, as a result of the surgery. He is now recovering at home.

On Sunday, Johnson shared with his 4.5 million Twitter fans that he would be having the operation, saying: “Saw my Dr who had to push my intestines back thru the tear in my abdome. Kinda romantic. Surgery is next week. #BringItOn.”

Earlier this month, the star tweeted about the April 7 incident during Wrestlemania 26 – where he wrestled John Cena to defend his championship title – that caused the hernia, writes The Hollywood Reporter.

“In the middle of last nights Wrestlemania match I tore my abdomen & adductor muscles off the bone. Just part of the job. But as we know.. ..It’s all about #JustBringIt. WWE Universe THANK YOU for all the love & well wishes. Means everything to me. #LeaveItAllInTheRing,” he wrote.

In the end of the match, it was Cena who dethroned the Hollywood actor achieving his redemption after last year’s loss. The two titans finished with a handshake and a hug.

In the night’s most terrible wrestling, the tattooed CM Punk entered the ring to the band Living Colour performing “Cult of Personality,” the wrestler’s theme song.

However, the stadium fell dark, as his opponent, Undertaker, rose up from under the floor, his hooded figure silhouetted against swirling fog. He later undefeated at WrestleMania, held a 20-0 record before tonight, now 21-0 — the numbers flashed up on a stadium screen with thunderbolts, NJ writes.

Sean “Diddy” Combs performed the event’s theme song, “Coming Home,” alongside with the singer Skylar Grey. TV star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi flashed a lipsticked, managing more fanfare than Gov. Chris Christie, who arrived at the stadium by a helicopter. Donald Trump also stepped on the stadium stage to a mixed reaction.

Johnson performs a fanatic body builder in the upcoming film, who kidnap a local millionaire (Tony Shalhoub) and torture him into signing over his assets. “Pain & Gain” director Michael Bay apologized for the Rock’s absence on the red carpet Monday. The movie costars Mark Wahlberg and opens Friday.

“Dwayne’s hurt tonight,” Bay said “He was pushing it too hard. [He] needs to grow up and stop wrestling 300-pound men.”

The proverb says: “No pain, no gain.” Anyway, it doesn’t seem as if the “Mummy” star is shying away from the hulk-like roles any time soon: He has already been approved for the titular role of Brett Ratner’s “Hercules: The Thracian Wars.”
