Ray J wants Kanye West to know when it comes to Kim Kardashian, Kanye’s getting sloppy seconds because he hit it first.
Ray J, who made an infamous sex tape with Kanye’s current girlfriend, Kim Kardashian, in 2007, revealed on Twitter the cover art for his new single “I Hit At First.”
While Kardashian’s notoriety has been on the rise, since 2007, Ray J’s star-power has slightly diminished. He hasn’t released a studio album since 2008 and his stint as an actor didn’t quite take off.
Kardashian may have once capitalized off of Ray J’s name, but now the recording artist seems to be hoping to do the same with Kardashian.
Ray J teased a new single on Friday, expected to be included on his upcoming album. Called “I Hit It First,” the cover artwork for the single appears to be a pixelated photo of Kardashian.
Ray J tweeted the new cover art to fans Friday first pointed out by Global Grind to be a blurred out bikini pic of Kardashian from 2008 and also possibly mimicking Kanye West’s blurred artwork on “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.”
“Check out my new single cover “I Hit It first” available on ITUNES on 4/9 “I Put her On” #KOmusic,” he wrote.
Besides the cover art, a few of the song’s lyrics seem to be directed right at Kanye and Kim, who are expecting a baby together. The song also presumably refers to Kim’s ex-husband, basketball player Kris Humphries, reports the TMZ.
“She might move on to rappers and ballplayers. But we all know I hit it first.I had her head going North and her ass going South. But now baby chose to go West.”
“No matter where she goes or who she knows. She still belongs in my bed.”
“Ray J is making a music video featuring a Kim look-alike,” according to a TMZ source.
Last summer the R&B singer-turned reality star decided to comment on his ex Kim Kardashian’s relationship with Kanye West, first with a sly tweet and later during an interview.
After retweeting Kim and adding a ‘lol’ (Lol RT @KimKardashian: Keep your life in a positive perspective. We are not defined by our pasts), which clearly caught the attention of the press, he clarified during an interview with Power 106, writes MTV.
“I felt like it was real, what [Kardashian tweeted],” Ray J said. “I kinda laughed about it, ’cause it was 100.”
“I wish ’em the best. Life is a roller-coaster, so you never know what’s gonna happen,” he added, addressing her relationship with Kanye West.
“But I wish ’em the best, much success to both of ’em. Yo, this whole thing is like a Magic Mountain experience.” Right.
“I Hit It First” will hit iTunes April 9. Kim, for her part, doesn’t seem concerned by Ray J’s new song. On April 6, for instance, she showed off her growing baby bump on her Instagram page.
While Kardashian has yet to comment on the song, Ray J made light of it, tweeting that it is “not that serious.”
