Revealing the secrets of her life is starting to become important to Rihanna, who was discovered in 2005 and has worked ever since, and the 25-year-old singer has explained this is why she shares so much of her personal life on Instagram.

The “Diamond” singer speaks frankly about her relationship with Chris Brown, and shares her planes about the future with him in the interview for April’s Elle U.K.

Shot in Paris by Mariano Vivanco, Rihanna shows off pieces from her spring/summer 2013 collection for River Island on both: a black, zip-through River Island skirt paired with a Louis Vuitton monochrome top on one and on the other, a striped bra from the same collection peeking out from Prada’s silk and satin stole.

The Barbadian chart topper openly discussed how she feels about Chris.

The honest star was the one who revealed to the world that their relationship was back on track. Rihanna did this by posting pictures of Chris lying in bed with her on her Twitter account

Rihanna calls her relationship with Chris Brown more grown up and a “fresh start” after their rockier early years together – which ended in her now infamous 2009 beating that sent Brown to jail.

“Now that we’re adults we can do this right. We got a fresh start and I’m thankful for that. Right now that’s just what we want, a great friendship that’s unbreakable.

Everybody wanted to know what was happening in my life. Is she a drug addict? No. Is she an alcoholic? No. Is she a victim? No. That’s when I got the gun [tattoo]. It was a symbol of strength. I’ll never be a victim.

“That’s why I’m posting pictures of myself, to tell the truth about myself. I’ve got so much to think about, why bring all this extra s*** by being dishonest?”

Rihanna and Chris have had a well-documented history together. The couple famously split after Chris violently attacked Rihanna in 2009. The star is quick to deny she has accepted his abusive behaviour, but says she’s forgiven him.

“No, I didn’t ‘accept’ anything! I’m not accepting anything that’s wrong! What’s wrong is wrong, no matter who it’s coming from and that’s just that,” Rihanna passionately stated.

And on the subject of children the Barbadian beauty said:

“I will probably have a kid. And I’m praying I can go on vacation for a good month.

And I’ll have set some things up so I don’t have to tour for the rest of my life, even though I love touring. I want health and happiness in five years. I want to be healthy and happy.”

Rihanna told Elle that her new single, “Stay,” is a story about true love and wanting it to last forever, and she now feels that way about Brown.

“You don’t have that feeling with everybody so when you have it, you don’t want to let go of it,” Rihanna said. “I would definitely say he is the one I have that kind of relationship with.”

The singer added in the interview that she is terrified of her mother. The 25-year-old says she doesn’t care what anyone thinks of her but admitted her mother can “humble the f***” out of her.

Although she appears on the pages of Elle UK in a number of slick designer outfits Rihanna is clearly a fan of the high street, designing a clothing range with River Island.

The singer confessed: “High-street shops pay more attention to the kids on the street than to the runways, so in a way I like to mix both. I love a high-end bag or jacket with a simple dress.”
