Chris Brown Wants to Go Back ‘Home’ on New Single [Video]

Chris Brown premiered Friday on his Twitter page a new nostalgic singe and video, called “Home”.

Sometimes, when life gets as crazy as it’s been for Chris Brown, it’s best to press the reset button.

And despite all the non-stop avalanche  of problems and troubles, both of personal and legal character, that happened to him in 2013, Chris Brown is certainly not letting them affect his music career.

The singer also doesn’t want his public to be fooled into this thinking he actually loves his high profile lifestyle of throngs of adoring women, luxury cars, and arena concerts.

So the 23-year-old Virginia native released a new introspective music video for his single Home on Friday, providing a behind-the-scenes look into the often-shirtless singer’s life on the road.

Last night Mr. Brown tweeted: “I am excited to announce the world premiere of #Home, a new docu-video from my world tour! #TeamBreezy, check it out

The three-minute film has a nostalgic feel, reminiscing about the days before the singer launched to fame.

The lyrics of his song says: “Wish I could go back to when I was young/Wish I could go back from where I came from.”

“A lot of the music nowadays, I love it, but it’s very gimmicky. Even some of my music is gimmicky,” Brown said before the Grammys. “But I just want to go back to the real music — a lot of instruments, the real band, essence of being able to perform and be an entertainer.”

The three-minute clip begins with a montage of the singer’s preparations — complete with pirouettes and flips — for his whirlwind Carpe Diem Tour abroad, which hit exotic locales like Amsterdam, Germany and Dubai to support his Grammy-nominated opus, Fortune.

It shows intimate moments with his entourage and, of course, interactions with shrieking, fleet-footed fans rushing the turnstiles for an up close and personal view of the Chris Brown experience, writes the MTV News.

There are plenty of moments in the video of Chris showing off his taste for driving expensive Lamborghini and Rolls Royce cars, buying fine leather goods, partying on yachts – and at one point just holding a brick-sized stack of money.

Brown sings that the money doesn’t mean as much if the people around him are changing and “praying with they hands out.” He repeatedly asks, “What the f—k you want from me?”

He also blames his woes on the camera that are “always on that f—k sh-t” and his inability to hold his tongue. “Now everyday they wanna say sh-t and that’s when I say sh-t.”

In general the video doesn’t mention any of his personal battles, instead showing the singer smiling and laughing with friends between takes of avid fans crying their eyes out and rushing at the opportunity to watch him onstage, says the Daily Mail.

He says he misses his childhood. “I wish I could go back to where I came from … I wish I could go back to freedom,” he adds.

It’s easy to see why Chris yearns to press replay, as his recent romantic troubles with on-again, off-again girlfriend Rihanna and squabbles with fellow artists Drake and Frank Ocean have provided much tabloid fodder.
