David Beckham, Steven Spielberg and Tom Brady (just to name a few) all have their own lunch-time namesakes. Today, weâd like to add another item to the menu of celebrity-inspired meals.
Isnât it really surprising that Miss B now has her own âBeyoncĂ© Sandwichâ? No, not really. But what impressive is the creativity that went into making the culinary combination. Kudos to the HooplaHa Team for creating this epic sandwich, plus the chic video tutorial to accompany the recipe.
A sandwich so bootylicious even Blue Ivy and Jay will be throwing up the Roc sign of approval!
The combination of Texas toast, fried chicken (apparently her favorite food) and Destiny’s Child bacon has us running to the kitchen for a snack.
And fresh off her sensational Superbowl performance, the hardest working mom, wife and entertainer in showbiz has finally gotten it.
It’s a “how to” video from HooplaHa Studios that puts together an imaginative construction called the Beyonce Sandwich (complete with captions) with the classic Destiny’s Child song, “Bootylicious” as soundtrack.
And by the time it is over, you’ll agree that those who dreamed this one up have served up a tasty dish fit for a queen (Bey, that is).
As the beginning staccato guitar kicks in (Stevie Nicks’ classic “Edge of Seventeen” sampled for the song, no less), the two hands begin to compile the The Beyonce Sandwich.
The whole preparation sandwich begins with two slices of thick Texas Toast. Why? Because Mrs. Carter was born in the Lone Star State, as the video caption explains. Â Put 2 slices of toast in the oven for approximately 2 1/2 renditions of the âSingle Ladiesâ dance.
Then there’s three strips of crisp bacon, for the history of Destiny’s Child, Beyonce’s former group and multi-platinum recording artists in their own right. After you lay down the 3 strips of bacon feel free to throw a âIâm a Survivorâ fist in the air because yes, this is your moment of glory.
This is followed by a liberal sprinkling of Bleu cheese, for her daughter, you know⊠Ivy Blue Carter.
Then in escalating order as Destiny’s Child asks “Are you ready?”
Add a layer of fried chicken, deep or pan-fried breaded tenderloins. Did you know Popeyeâs fried chicken is Beyonceâs favorite food? And you thought you couldnât love her more than you already didâŠ
In honor of Beyonceâs signature fragrance âHeatâ, add a few dashes of hot sauce to the fried chicken!
And just after the hot sauce is applied, with the lyrics “I don’t think you’re ready for this jelly” (the actual lyrics of “Bootylicious”) supporting the filmed act of coating that second piece of toast, the unknown owner of the building hands completes the mission.
And how about some jelly? Never thought of it? Just add a thin layer of jelly to the top piece of texas toast – simply captioned with (“are you ready?”).
âWe are crazy in love with the way the jelly cuts all the savory flavors of the bacon and bleu cheese,â says Hooplaha website.
After that the video goes to a “speed round,” where the hands do as instructed: “Build.”
And just one small thing. âIf you like itâ put a ring on it. The last, but not the least – onion ring.
