Weight Watchers has launched its new ad campaign featuring famed stars Jennifer Hudson and Jessica Simpson.
The new ad shows both singers discussing their history with fad diets and struggles with body image, reports The New York Daily News.
“I naturally became a healthier me,” says Hudson, who dropped ten dress sizes two years ago, when she was Weight Watchers’ celebrity spokesperson.
As for Simpson, the pop star occupied the same post in May and dropped more than 50 pounds . She says: “I amazed myself.”
The commercial is “refreshing,” writes blog Blisstree. “And unlike the models and celebrities repping so many fitness gadget and diet book ads this time of year, the two women have legitimately dealt with big weight loss struggles – and while both appear to be at a healthy weight, neither has gotten underweight or gone to an extreme, either.”
On Tuesday, Dec. 25, the Fashion Star mentor tweeted a photo of daughter Maxwell, almost 8 months, sitting on a beach with âBig Sisâ written in the sand.
âMerry Christmas from my family to yours!â Simpson, 32, wrote as the caption. In the adorable snapshot, Maxwell is dressed in a red-and-white striped onesie, a red bow in her hair and has a big smile on her face.
The rumors have been swirling for weeks â but Jessica has been mum about the mom situation ⌠until now.
Speculation began last month when it first reported about the pregnancy. Sources told the magazine that Simpson, who recently lost 60 pounds following her previous pregnancy, was not expecting to be expecting again any time soon.
âIt definitely wasnât planned. But yes, Jessica is pregnant again,â a source reveals to the publication. The pre-New-Year surprise is the second baby for Weight Watchers spokeswoman, 32, and her fiance Eric Johnson.
According to another source, on Thanksgiving event, âas Jessica and her [fiance] were about to leave the party somebody asked her, âHowâs the baby?â To which she replied, âWhich one?! Iâm pregnant again!â
The star and the singer (who has recently showed off her 60-pound weight loss) called Maxwellâs birth âthe greatest experience of our lives.â
Back in May, she said: âI donât want to have another baby right away but I do want to have more kids. Having babies back to back has to be so hard.â
However, at the time Simpson admitted that having a second baby was all about timing: âI really want to give Maxwell all of the attention and all of the love and time that I possibly can give her,â she said.
âWhen I feel like itâs the right time to bring another little one into the family, I will. I wonât wait too long but I wonât do it immediately,â the TV star added.
âLife has completely changed,â Simpson told reporters after delivering her first daughter. âFrom how I sleep to what I think about, Maxwell has definitely taken over everything!â
âWhen I Â look at her my heart melts,â she said. âI didnât realize how much love I could have.â
Simpson is certainly a fan of holiday pregnancy announcements. On Halloween 2011, she announced she was pregnant with her first child through a photo of herself dressed as a mummy with the message, âItâs True! I am going to be a mummy.â
