The former Moore boy toy and present love of ‘That 70’s Show’ co-star Mila Kunis, cites irreconcilable differences and does not list a date that the couple separated.
Moore said last year that she was ending her marriage to her unfaithful husband, but she never filed a petition, unlike Kutcher who signed the document Friday, hours before it was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court.
Yahoo! News reports that Kutcher’s filing does not indicate that the couple has a prenuptial agreement.
According to TMZ, the actor waited so long to give Moore a chance to file first. Apparently, he decided a year was long enough for her to save face.
“It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I have decided to end my six-year marriage to Ashton,” Moore said in November 2011.
“As a woman, a mother and a wife there are certain values and vows that I hold sacred, and it is in this spirit that I have chosen to move forward with my life.”
Kutcher later took to Twitter to make a statement: “I will forever cherish the time I spent with Demi. Marriage is one of the most difficult things in the world and unfortunately sometimes they fail. Love and Light, AK.”
The ‘One and a Half Men’ star is ready for a battle, as he’s already hired celeb divorce attorney Laura Wasser. A source familiar with the matter revealed that Kutcher pulled the plug for Kunis, who he has become “very very serious” with.
“Demi was the one who was refusing to file anything,” a source told reporters. “Mila was getting upset that Ashton was still stuck in this situation. The Miami partying didn’t help. The main reason he left was that she was and he held on this whole time to be nice to her. He wanted her to get help.”
The source went further, adding that a patient Kunis, who has been dating Kutcher for eight months, finally wanted Kutcher to make a move.
“They’re very serious so like any girlfriend she doesn’t want him to be attached anymore,” the source revealed. “Demi’s been very upset about Mila because she’s younger and she always suspected something was going on with them.”
The former couple married in September 2005 and until recently didn’t hide their relations, communicating with each other and fans on the social networking site Twitter. After their split, the actress changed her name on the site from @mrskutcher to @justdemi.
Moore and Kutcher made headlines last year, when they announced their breakup after a six year marriage amid reports that Kutcher cheated.
The actress, who is now 50, was reportedly “jealous” over Kutcher’s new romance with Kunis.
“Her friends aren’t convinced she’s all better,” a source told earlier. One source claimed she was “jealous and frustrated,” while another said, “What was humiliating was having her husband cheat on her in such a public way.”
Moore was married twice previously, the first time to singer Freddy Moore and then to film star Bruce Willis, with whom she has three children. They divorced in 2000.
