“I can confirm that rumor,” she said, confirming numerous rumors that have been circulating this week. “It’s a comedy. I’m really excited about it. We start shooting in April.”
Earlier this week the reports appeared claiming that the ‘Argo’ director reportedly planned to work with the starlet in romantic comedy ‘Focus’ and Ben admitted he would jump at the chance.
He said at the time: “I’m hesitant to get into casting stuff because I don’t know what’s finished or isn’t because people come in and out of things all the time. But she’s terrific and hopefully it will work out.”
The news comes soon after the Twilight Saga actress revealed that she is desperate to land another role now that ‘Breaking Dawn Part 2’, the final movie in the vampire franchise has finally hit theatres and can’t wait to start working on something new.
The 22-year-old star admitted: “I’m kinda desperate to get a job right now. I’m itching to get back to work.”
As The Hollywood Life claims, now the actress can expect plenty of hot-and-heavy scenes with the married father of two.
Stewart’s new character, described as “disarming and sexy without trying,” finds herself in Ben’s character’s arms — and bed — on several occasions throughout the film.
According to a source familiar with the matter, the chemistry between the two con-artist characters is “undeniable.”
The film will not show any acts of sex, but will feature lots of “passionate” kissing. Stewart and Affleck’s characters are also seen in bed together after having sex.
Ben and Kristen has been recently spotted having dinner together, what caused a wave of rumors that the two are dating, despite Stewart is linked to her Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson while Affleck has recently married to Jennifer Garner.
The source revealed: “Ben and Kristen looked really involved in conversation and appeared to have some kind of electric chemistry from the moment they sat down.”
He continued, adding: “The dinner lasted several hours and Ben looked totally enchanted. They were deep in conversation.”
However, it soon became clear that the two future co-stars shared a dinner in order to discuss their upcoming work in ‘Focus’ movie.
Stewart told Huffington Post that at the moment she does not have any other projects lined up, but “would love to find some micro-project before then, because April is kind of a ways away.”
The 22-year-old has recently finished a world tour promoting the final installment in the “Twilight” series, which made her a global superstar.
The actress is currently in the awards-circuit rounds in support of her next film, ‘On the Road,’ an indie adaptation of the famous Jack Kerouac novel, which is scheduled to hit theatres on December 21.
The indie movie is predicted to bring Stewart a shot at an Academy Award nomination for best supporting actress, while Ben Affleck is deep in the Oscar hunt with “Argo,” which is expected win nominations for best picture, best director, and best supporting actor, among others.
