A new video of Valeria Lukyanova, the Ukranian woman called the human Barbie, has raised talks that she is not what she seems, as she looks markedly different than photos of her online.
The Dirty claims that the Human Barbie has lied and has used PhotoShop in order to seem unreal. The website cites a video of the model and purports it as evidence that Lukyanova alters her look for her photos.
The Dirty writes: “All you people gushing over Valeria Lukyanova are a bunch of morons. This girl is a FRAUD.”
“She had been badly photo shopping her photos since the beginning of her time online. Her videos aren’t photo shopped. Does she still look the same?” it questions.
“Not only are her looks fake/photoshopped this girl is also mentally insane. There is a ton more of videos out there and as you can see from them, she looks nothing like she does when she photoshops her photos. Get over it already people.”
Lukyanova has previously denied both Photoshopping herself and receiving plastic surgery to maintain her eye-popping figure, which resembles a Barbie doll. The model assures that the only means she uses to complete transformation is make-up.
V Magazine, who recently interviewed the Internet sensation, claims that her look is a result of highly trained make-up skills and control.
Based on what he sees, a plastic surgeon practicing in California suggests that there is no amount of work done on Valeria, International Business Times reports.
“Judging from the available photos and especially from the video of the makeup transformation, most likely Lukyanova has not had any significant plastic surgery on her face,” says Dr. Boris Akerman.
“She might have had some lip injections, but the remarkable Barbie like appearance of her face is due to theatrical make up application and facial muscle training to achieve the ‘Barbie’ appearance,” added Akerman.
Dr. Jeffrey Spiegel, Leading Facial Plastic Surgeon and Professor at Boston University, has a diverse opinion.
He said he wouldn’t be surprised if Lukyanova did have cosmetic surgery on her nose, as well as cheek implants and jaw narrowing.
“I have had requests from patients to have features of their face look like Barbie,” said Spiegel, who has not treated the Ukrainian model. “They ask to have their nose, lips and jaw done to resemble the doll.”
However, both experts believe that the Human Barbie had some work on her body to achieve her shocking proportions.
“She is so slender that her breasts are unlikely to be natural,” Spiegel told reporters. “She may well of had breast augmentation or rib removal to get her narrow waist line.”
In her interview with V Magazine, Lukyanova shrugs off claims of surgery and retouching.
“Many people say bad things about people who want to perfect themselves,” she says. “It’s hard work, but they dismiss it as something done by surgeons or computer artists. This is how they justify not wanting to strive for self-improvement. It’s how they explain their continued inaction. It’s just an excuse.”
