Lana Del Rey has already conquered the music world and now she is making her way into the fashion world.
For one year the singer managed to win the heart of Next modelling agency, mainly because her backcombed hairstyle  come into the mainstream. Also a luxury design firm Mulberry name a bag after her.
And now her latest project is modelling for high street store H&M, The Telegraph reports.
Del Rey is posing in aqua-coloured environments, to be precise, in a moody, blue-lit car park, promoting the retailer’s latest offerings of cosy cover-ups, leather-look trousers and bold accessories.
The star was photographed by S0lve Sundsb0, who has worked previously with Coldplay on the A Rush of Blood to the Head album sleeve and the single cover for God Put a Smile upon Your Face, Independent Woman reports.
Chloe Bowers, H&M PR Manager, said: “We were looking for a style icon and singer to model our fall collection and Lana Del Rey was the perfect choice. We think she shows our fall fashion in a very inspiring way.”
The theme of the new campaign comes from Lana’s debut with H&M in which the Video Games star is seen performing a 30 second track called Blue Velvet. After this the clothier called Del Rey a “style icon” who is also a “feminine woman with a soft attitude”.
The 26-year-old star will also appear in H&M’s winter 2012 campaign that is to be released as the season progresses.
It’s been an eventful year for Lana Del Ray: she released the video for her new single Ride on Friday, became a face of H&M campaigns, and in September was announced as the new face of Jaguar automobiles.
Moreover, she found time to mull over the purchase of a £1,770 horse-shaped topiary at a West Hollywood garden center!
