American singer Lana Del Rey has bared all on the cover of GQ magazine to celebrate the mens’ mag naming her “Woman Of The Year.”

According to The Frisky, the special issue of the magazine depicts Lana stripped bare save for a face full of dramatic makeup and a body dripping with opulent jewels.

On the cover the Video Games singer is seen sat on the floor completely naked with her legs crossed and only her long fiery locks to conceal her modesty.

In another shot Lana is seen dressed in a white basque smelling a rose while in another a man is cupping her breast, writes Daily Mail.

Lana seemed pleased with the result and revealed some details of the shoot.

“We had a beautiful shoot in Monaco and I had a really interesting interview — for a change — and I was reminded of why I love to sing and why I wanted to become a writer,” the girl formerly known as Lizzy Grant revealed while accepting her award at the GQ Awards in London on Tuesday night.

“And also, Paul [Solomons], the creative director, was very hands on with the shoot. In fact, if you see in the magazine — in the middle of the spread — you’ll see a hand hoisting up one of my boobs — that’s Paul’s hand. Couldn’t have done it without him.”

According to Celebrity Fix, Lana tweeted the cover to nearly one million followers today, sparking a mass of retweets and drooling comments.

However, not everyone enjoyed the pictures of nude singer. The provocative cover has now sparked debate online and has attracted criticism from online magazine Jezebelwho have labelled it as “internalised sexism.”

As Entertainmet Weekly Points out, British GQ named Lana Del Rey, John Slattery, comedian/Broadway star James Corden, rapper Tinie Tempah, and Robbie Williams as its woman and men of the year. And while the men don tuxes for their covers, Del Rey only has her birthday suit on for comfort.

It’s not the first time GQ made the ladies go nude and gave the men clothing. When Jennifer Aniston was named American GQ’s Woman of the Year in 2005, she famously went topless, while the male cover stars — Vince Vaughn and 50 Cent – were covered up.

In the interview to GQ Lana speaks out about what it is like living in the spotlight and says: “My life is just f***ing different. I never wanted to lead a normal life. I was always a secret thrill-seeker.”

The singer also talked about her battle with drinking, saying: “Alcohol was the first love of my life. I have a dark side but the dark side was winning every time.”

Lana has recently revealed she is quitting the recording studio to write Hollywood scripts and she even enjoyed dinner with British actress Carey Mulligan, 27, in LA last month.
