Miley Cyrus strikes an adult pose on the September cover of Marie Claire. According to Billboard, the recently engaged singer-actress stuns in a decadent teal Christian Dior dress for the cover shoot which took place one hour after her engagement to actor Liam Hemsworth was announced. Moreover, encrusted with jewels and emeralds, the dress perfectly accentuates the singer’s new sophisticated look.
Covering up her oft-flaunted abs in a demure bejeweled top, the 19-year-old looked quite adult on the cover, posing with some major bling.
In the interview Cyrus opens up about her new 3.5 carat diamond Neil Lane engagement ring saying: “We’d been kind of talking about getting engaged… I saw it online at one point and thought it was really pretty… I just love that it’s old and has a story. And I’m happy because it doesn’t look like anything else I wear.”
The “Hannah Montana” actress, recently engaged to Australian actor Liam Hemsworth, has been in the news after nude pictures of her in a bathtub were posted online. The positioning of the 19-year-old star in the pool also gave viewers a good view of the tattoo of a dreamcatcher on her rib cage, which is only one of the 12 tattoos she has, points out International Business Times.
Miley Cyrus was also in the news recently for supposed differences between her and her fiancé, 22-year-old Liam Hemsworth, who is reportedly trying to concentrate on his coming movie “Paranoia” and lead a low-profile life while Miley, who is just the opposite, expects him to party with her and celebrate their engagement.
Cyrus also discussed her incredibly close relationship with her parents — her father is country crooner Billy Ray Cyrus — and cuts across Bob Hope’s widow’s lawn to access their gate.
“She gave me permission,” she says. “If Liam is traveling and I’m feeling creeped out, I can go to my parents’. Or I’ll walk over there in the morning for coffee. It’s really weird [sleeping] in my parents’ room. Now it’s my room, and Liam is at my dad’s sink and I’m at my mom’s. It’s really strange, but also really cool.”
“The first time I ever met or hung out with Liam was here. When he first moved to America, he didn’t have any family here, so our family became his. This is where all our memories are being made,” Miley said.
In fact, as The Huff Post notes, we haven’t seen the effects of her vintage ring on her outfits just yet (hot pants and sheer skirts don’t exactly make an “adult wardrobe”), however, we’d love to see a more ladylike Miley, perhaps one with a few less wardrobe malfunctions.
And since she’s been experimenting with her look recently, Miley’s fans can be sure that the former Disney star has a few more iterations up her sleeve before she settles into a more mature style.
