Despite her experience of unsuccessful unions, Kim hasn’t given up on love and she has found it again with rapper Kanye West. The TV star said that the key to their relationship is their good friendship.

“We’ve had a deep friendship for so long and that’s the start of a really good relationship,” Kim says in new issue of InStyle.

“I’ve always believed in love,” the reality TV star continued. “I haven’t always been so lucky, but I still do believe in it. I loved this person, it just wasn’t the right situation for me. I try to hold my head up high and live my life.”

Speaking to InStyle magazine, Kardashian said she doesn’t care about anyone’s opinions, especially if people suspect some of his lyrics are about her.

She said: “People can interpret it however they want. That’s him making music. I don’t even know it’s about me. We know what we are to each other. We’ve had a deep friendship for so long and that’s the start of a really good relationship.”

Kim made headlines last August when she married basketball star Kris Humphries. 72 days later she reminded of herself again as the two announced that they had decided to split.  Kardashian filed for divorce on October 31 citing irreconcilable differences.

She immediately retreated to her mother Kris Jenner’s house in Los Angeles to lick her wounds after the split, something she said needed to do, writes The Daily Mail.

She explained: “Taking that time off was critical. Anyone would want to move on and take the lesson learnt from it. I loved this person, it just wasn’t the right situation for me. I try to hold my head up high and live my life.”

Kim went on: “I feel that the situation would have been the same whether there were cameras present or not. If anything, the process was dragged out, because I didn’t want to end the relationship with the cameras on.”

The reality star also shared with the magazine that she would love to have children and said she is obsessed with her nephew Mason, her sister Kourtney’s son.

And she hasn’t given up on having her own one day: “If you had asked me that a year ago, I would have said no, but things change. Now, I think I would.”

“I want to be married with two parents in the house to raise the kids. But, if that wasn’t the option for me, I would do it on my own,” she added.

As for the people who don’t like her, Kim said she just rises above it all now and has developed a thick skin to it all. “I don’t read those comments. I don’t care anymore. There were always haters but the divorce gave them a platform.”

“My fan base has stayed loyal and the same. Yesterday, a fan said, “I have no sisters, you are my sisters. I watch you guys and I wish I had that”,” Kardashian added.
