Kim Kardashian Reveals She Was Put on Birth Control by Mum at 14 [Video]

Kim Kardashian has opened up to Oprah, revealing that she was put on birth control by her mother at the tender age of 14.

It may be hard to imagine there are any secrets left in the Kardashian closet, but Oprah Winfrey male Kim Kardashian reveal a juicy detail about her early life on “Oprah’s Next Chapter.”

In the first episode of a two-part series Oprah asked her questions very respectfully and delicately and gave Kim every chance to not answer, according to The Huff Post. But the reality show star had no problem opening up

Kim has admitted that she had been “almost 15” when her mother, Kris Jenner, put her on birth control.

Kim said that she had started dating a family friend when she was twelve. And when she was 14-years old decided that she was ready to have sex with him.

“When I did want to have sex the first time, I was almost 15,” Kim said.

Rather than go behind her parents’ backs, Kim decided to discuss it with her liberal mother Kris Jenner.

“I was like, “I think I’m going to, or I want to,” and she was like, “OK, so this is what we’re gonna do, we’re gonna put you on birth control,” and she was like, really open and honest with me,” Kim said to Oprah.

Oprah, who has exposed her fair share of celebrity confessions, was clearly shocked by the admission, writes Woman’s Day. She responded to it with a simple “wow”, before moving on to the next question.

Kate Stanhope tweeted following the revelation: “Kim Kardashian has been on birth control since she was FOURTEEN. #wtf”, while Gossip and Gab wrote:

“I’m sure that’s what every mother in America would do for her 15-year-old daughter (as opposed to telling them to wait to grow up or become more mature or realize that this is a bad decision for someone so young or even say ‘go to your room.’”

Meanwhile, Kim’s sexual past featured heavily in the interview with Oprah. She was asked about the sex tape released by her ex-boyfriend Ray J and marriage to Kris Humphries.

“Would you be where you are had there not been a sex tape?” Oprah asked Kim.

“You know, I think that’s how I was definitely introduced to the world,” Kim admitted.

“It was a negative way, so I felt like I really had to work ten times harder to get people to see the real me,” she added.

Kim said the day the tape was released became a “really bad day” for her mom Kris.

“No mother ever wants to hear something like that… I could tell she was in a lot of pain.”

Kim also denied her marriage to Kris Humphries was a hoax, according to Daily Mail.

She continued: ‘I think when people first meet, everything is great in the beginning, but I didn’t spend more than a whole week with my ex before we married.

‘When we moved in together, I saw how our relationship was… I don’t want to get into the small things, but once we moved in, I knew he was not the one.’

Kim stressed that she was left utterly depressed afterwards and that her fanbase was strong enough without having to stage drama for ratings.

She moted that she still has a ‘place in my heart’ for her former basketball player husband, yet after moving in together it dawned on her that married life was ‘not for me’.

Kim is now dating rapper Kanye West, 35. She admitted that one of the things that attracts her to him is the fact he is older than her.

Kim said: “I always dated five years younger. My whole thing was completely different, and now I just love that I’m with someone that’s a couple years older than me.”
