Before medics arrived, there was found to be nothing wrong with the 25-year-old other than exhaustion, after long days filming her TV movie Liz & Dick.
Her representative, Steve Honig, explained in a statement: “Lindsay has been working a gruelling schedule for the last couple of days.”
“Last night she worked from 7 p.m. to 8 a.m. She was exhausted and went back to her room to sleep. Producers were apparently concerned and called the fire department and paramedics found her sleeping but determined that she was fine, just extremely exhausted and slightly dehydrated.”
He went on: “She is on her way home now to rest and will be back on set later today.”Lohan’s rep also assured that no drugs or alcohol were involved in the incident.
According to TMZ, after having determined nothing was wrong with the actress paramedics left the hotel without transporting Lindsay to the hospital.
“Lindsay was never taken to a hospital; reports to the contrary are false. She is resting now and is hoping to be back on set later this afternoon,” Honig said.
Lindsay’s mom, Dina Lohan, confirmed the information that 25-year-old is okay: “She’s fine! She worked [until] 6:15 a.m., long days but she is doing an amazing job.”
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s office described Lohan’s condition as “groggy” and said she’s “OK as far as we know.”
The actress has been to rehab multiple times for drug and alcohol abuse. In March, she was taken off probation from her 2007 DUI case, writes ABC News.
Lohan has had a rough run of late. Last week, she totaled her Porsche by driving it into a dump truck on the Pacific Coast Highway.
Earlier this week Lohan was driving a rented Porsche, with her assistant in the passenger seat, on the Pacific Coast Highway when she rear-ended a truck, causing massive damage to the $80,000 vehicle.
Some sources claimed the actress explained that the accident occurred due to a mechanical failure. While the driver of the truck claimed that the crash was entirely her fault, Lindsay is said to have confessed to pals she couldn’t have avoided the crash.
The truck driver alleged that he was driving at the speed of 40 miles per hour along the Pacific Coast Highway when Lindsay hit him.
The man in question – who has been identified as James Johnson – said that he had been minding his own business when he felt the impact of Lindsay’s Porsche.
Johnson also revealed that Lohan’s aids tried to bribe him in order to keep quiet about the incident and offered him to “go to the bank” to withdraw cash in order to pay him off, but the man had already dialed 911.
Lohan’s rep denied the driver’s bribery allegations in a statement: “It seems to me once he realized he wasn’t going to get anything from Lindsay he decided to get cash by telling tales to the tabloids.”
“I hope he got whatever money he was looking for. Personally, all I care about is that Lindsay and [her assistant] Gavin are okay.”
