Chris Brown, Drake Fight At NYC Nightclub Over Rihanna

Chris Brown may have said he’s eager to put all that Rihanna drama behind him, but the rapper indicated otherwise Wednesday night when he reportedly got into a fight with Drake.

According to TMZ, the NYPD has confirmed that Brown and Drake got into a fight at W.I.P. nightclub, where bottles were allegedly thrown.

Police say five people were injured in the fight at club W.I.P. early Thursday morning, where Mary J. Blige, Ne-Yo and Fablolous were also partying.

Witnesses told The Hollywood Gossip that Drake gave Brown the middle finger, engaged in some serious trash talk, and then recruited several other rappers to join his posse before the brawl.

After that Drake gave the middle finger to one of Chris’ bodyguards and shouted, “I’m about to go whoop that ass!”

Breezy’s entourage responded with a few hand gestures of their own.

According to The Huff Post, The YMCMB rapper sparked an argument over Rihanna (with whom he was once romantically linked), then punched Brown in the face and threw the bottle at him.

Brown later took to his Twitter page and posted a photo of the laceration on his chin (which he indicated came from a bottle) and messages, like “How u party wit rich n**** that hate? Lol… Throwing bottles like girls? #shameonya!” and “Ok! N****s stand behind security! Ok! U don’t pay them enough.”

The photo and the message have since been removed from Brown’s Twitter page.

NYPD, who arrived after receiving a call between 4am and 5am, confirmed that the stars and their camps got into a fight in the Big Apple’s WIP nightclub, and five people were injured in the melee.

Both Drake and Brown had left the club by the time police arrived.

Police are currently investigating the incident though no arrests have been made.

Drake’s rep issued a statement following the incident, insisting Drizzy wasn’t involved in the fight.

Witnesses also indicate that while Drake’s telling the truth when he says he wasn’t involved physically in the melee that ensued, he definitely stirred the pot.

According to MTV, Drake and Brown have been the subject of rumors in recent months, as buzz built that the two were fighting over Rihanna.

Brown’s long-term relationship with the singer imploded after he assaulted her in 2009 before Grammy ceremony, but they continued to be linked to each other.

Drake has spoken in song about his own romantic encounter with Rihanna. The couple were also spotted out together during Memorial Day weekend in Miami.

At the same time, Brown and Rihanna were spotted partying together at New York nightclub Avenue earlier this week.

Moreover, in June, Rihanna slammed a journalist from British Esquire for probing into the nature of her relationship with Brown.

“If I went back to him [as a girlfriend], then that’s a whole different discussion … I think a lot of people jumped to an assumption that was incorrect and they ended up looking stupid,” Rihanna said. “This is turning into a tacky interview.”
