Ashley Madison, a website that essentially offers extra-marital hookups, is offering $1 million to the woman who can prove she has been sexually involved with the New York Jets’ quarterback.
“Sports and sex (and of course, infidelity) go hand in hand,” said Noel Biderman, founder of Ashley Madison, in a statement. “If Mr. Tebow is indeed abstaining from adult relationships, I would encourage him to find a nice lady or two and enjoy his youth and fame as much as possible.”
Via the company’s Twitter account, AshleyMadison promoted, “Score $1 million for scoring with Tim Tebow” and “Looks like Tim Tebow may still be a virgin….for now. Who wants to be a millionaire courtesy of AshleyMadison.”
A press release from Ashley Madison claims that “Tebow has been using his infamy from this year’s football season to get some ladies in the sack.”
The company is now seeking proof of its claim by accepting photographs, videos, DNA samples or sworn affidavits from the mothers of the women who claim to have had a sexual encounter with Tebow, writes The Christian Post.
Niel Biderman, CEO of AshleyMadison, said: ”I guarantee that no man of Tim Tebow’s stature could survive a season in New York without succumbing to the temptations of the city.”
This is not the first eyebrow-raising move from AshleyMadison. Back in November, the service provoked outrage with a despicable ad stating “Did your wife SCARE you last night?” with a photo of an overweight women posing in lingerie.
This also isn’t the first time Tebow’s virginity has come under attack.
The 24-year-old Tebow was first asked whether or not he was a virgin at an SEC Media Day press conference three years ago. He answered that he was, and it appears that he now has a $1 million target on his back as a result.
Upon Tebow’s trade to the New York Jets, Rob Gronkowski of rival team the Patriots poked fun at Tebow’s stance on sex before marriage by joking he’d choose to sleep with Tebow to “take his virginity.”
“I personally thought it was a very offensive publicity stunt…And I think that not only is it insulting to highlight Tim in that way, but I think it’s insulting to all the people who hold to the same conviction that Tim would have,” Esther Fleece, a Focus on the Family spokesperson, told The Christian Post on Wednesday.
“I think there are many people that hold Tim’s view on purity and on abstinence, the difference is we’re not being asked that with a public platform,” said Fleece. “I think it takes an even stronger person to be able to handle the criticism and mocking when you’re in the spotlight like Tim is.”
“It’s very serious what Ashley Madison is charging females to do, and I think it’s a form of prostituting themselves,” Fleece said.
However, Tim Tebow can now expect women trying to seduce him in order to get the money. Good luck, Tim!
