Attending the A-list event were actresses Gwyneth Paltrow, Zooey Deschanel, Reese Witherspoon, Jane Fonda, Kristen Stewart, Pamela Anderson, and Julie Delpy, rockers Joan Jett and Gwen Stefani, model Miranda Kerr, and record producer Quincy Jones.

According to StarPulse, the video for the former Beatle’s latest single “My Valentine”, off his number-one charting jazz album “Kisses On The Bottom”, stars Natalie Portman and Johnny Depp.

OTRC reports that Depp also performs a guitar solo in the video, a task which was handled by Eric Clapton in the original studio version.

There are in fact three music videos for the song, two featuring the stars alone and one with Portman and Depp together. It was McCartney’s daughter, the fashion designer Stella, who inspired the visuals for “My Valentine.”

According to The Huff Post, Paul McCartney is no stranger to videos and films. He has an astounding 391 soundtrack credits to his name, an untold number of music videos and five previous directing credits.

The clip was directed by Paul McCartney, with the help of “Inception” cinematographer Wally Pfister, editor Paul Martinez and producer Susanne Preissler.

“Kisses on the Bottom” album features the elder statesman of rock and roll looking back on the standards that inspired him. The album is his fifteenth studio record and features two original compositions, “My Valentine” and “Only Our Hearts.”

“Well they’re just nice people, some friends from way back, and they were just very kind to do it, I was very pleased to work with them,” McCartney said, referring to Depp and Portman.

Portman previously appeared in McCartney’s 2007 music video for “Dance Tonight,” which was directed by Michel Gondry.

“We thought thirty was like really old,” McCartney said. “Now I think it’s amazingly young. There was a guy at John’s art college who was 24 and we felt very sorry for him, he looked like a real old guy, he had a five -o-clock shadow, he looked really pathetic to us because we were like, 16 … I’m really just some kid from Liverpool still.”
