‘Laserlight’: Jessie J And David Guetta Reunite For New Single [Video]

Jessie J released a new music video aimed to support her latest single “LaserLight” in its entirety. The clip features the “Price Tag” hitmaker dancing to the uplifting music under the glow of laser beams, light bulbs and lens flares.

“LaserLight” is from Jessie’s debut album “Who You Are”, which was released last year. The electro house music features the well-known Dj David Guetta, who also serves as a co-producer for the song.

“Laserlight’s” chorus is quite romantic: “You make me feel good / You make me feel safe / You make me feel like I could live another day / You make me feel good / You make me feel safe / You know I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

For her second album, Jessie plans to explore her pain. She explained, “For the seven years before I signed my record deal I was in a bad place and I was scared that I couldn’t get out of it.” She adds, “That’s why I wrote such upbeat music, as a way of trying to escape how I felt.”

Taking inspiration from her U.K. peer Adele, she kept on talking, “Now that I am happier, I won’t be afraid to explore my pain. But in a good way; it’ll be me saying that it’s OK not to feel OK. Not every song needs a happy ending.”

The video shows Jess having a good time everywhere she goes while looking super fashionable. Jessie is hanging in movie theaters, singing to herself in a dressing room mirror and fun moments twirling in dance clubs.

As MTV writes, if we had to hypothesize about the real reason they used all the laser lights in the video (nevermind the song’s name), we’re thinking they’re actually pointing at all of Jessie’s GORG accessories – spiked jackets, gigantic hoop earrings and ripped abs that would make even Jennifer Lopez jealz.

“Laserlight” is the second time when Jessie and David’s second united to create the unforgettable track (the duo also worked on a song from Guetta’s Nothing But The Beat), and judging by the successful party the pair brought, they seem to have a glowing repertoire.

By the way, Jessie has recently demonstrated her many colours by posing for a girly shoot for America’s Glamour Magazine. The singer discussed with the magazine her changing style – mainly as a result of her penchant for wigs.

She said: “It’s so tough to explain to people. When you have half an hour to be ready at four o’clock in the morning, you don’t have time to get up and glue in extensions or blow-dry your hair.”

“A hairdresser who did my hair said, “You, my darling, have something that we call ‘successful’ hair,” which is basically battered hair that’s split and falling out in the back because you’ve had to blow-dry it every day. I don’t want my hair falling out, so I wear wigs!” Jessie continued.

The pop star also spoke of her sexuality: “For me, I want it to be less about sexuality and more about being comfortable in who you fall in love with,” she revealed.

“If I meet someone and I like them, I don’t care if they’re a boy or a girl. You should never, ever apologize for anything that makes you happy.”

Jessie added: “The frustrating thing is that if I was with a guy right now, I’d be [considered] straight. But If I was with a girl, I’d be gay.”

However, the singer has revealed she is currently ‘single’ and added that ‘music is the love of my life right now’, reports The Daily Mail.
