Nicki Minaj Releases Sexy Video for ‘Beez in the Trap’ [Video]

She’s recently been busy promoting her new album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, and now Nicki Minaj has released her new music video for the single “Beez In The Trap.”

Before debuting the video on Vevo via YouTube, the “Moment 4 Life” Nicki Minaj took to her Twitter page to keep building up her fans anticipation, tweeting, “#BeezInTheTrapVideo w/in 2 hrs!!!!! On @Vevo,” writes Celebrity-Gossip.

The Benny Boom directed video features rapper 2 Chainz, along with a cameo from Cash Money Records CEO Birdman.

2 Chainz and Nicki dance and stand around rapping their verses while scenes from a club are spliced in to add some visual texture to the song.

Minaj’s provocative dancing in that video set the hip hop blog world ablaze, as many were surprised that as high profile an artist as Minaj would take the role normally relegated to models in hip hop videos, tells The Huff Post.

Though the lyrics of the track contain plenty of boasting on Minaj’s part, she seems to be moving more and more away from the tough girl vibe she cultivated on tracks like Kanye West’s “Monster” and instead playing up her curvy sex appeal to great effect.

Of course, fans and viewers alike are always anticipating not only the music, but what fashions Miss Minaj will also wear in her song’s visual offerings.

In the Miami filmed production, Minaj sports everything from a hot pink leotard to a neon green wig and bikini top while fanning herself with money.

The track comes from Minaj’s sophomore album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, which was released this week and is projected to hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200, according to The Hollywood Reporter. If that happens, the album would be unseating Madonna’s MDNA, which Minaj contributed to.

The video debut comes at the end of a busy weekend for Minaj, who performed a surprise show in New York’s Time Square Friday, as part of Nokia’s promotion of its Lumia 900 smartphone. On Saturday, she traveled to Los Angeles for a signing.

A video of the performance — during which she premiered a new downtempo remix of “Starships” — was posted on the phone company’s Facebook page.

As the video contains mature content and explicit language, viewer discretion is advised.
