With the summer just round the corner I decided to start working out in order to get into shape. I really love challenge, what is more I am tired of dull and boring training such as jogging, press-ups and sit-ups. After some research on the internet I’ve found out a perfect way to stay fit and to entertain myself – Spartan Race.

What is Spartan racing? It is a race series with different levels and styles or racing. Spartan racing is completely different from ordinary jogging. You not only work out and improve your physical strength, you also have fun!

So you must be asking yourself “Why Spartan?” The clear answer is because the Spartans were tough as nails and in the world we live in today, you gotta be tough!

Why race Spartan obstacle course races? Because we all thrive under pressure, survival of the fittest. Spartan Race’s goal is simple – to get you off your couch, throw you in the mud & trails, and feed you one tough endurance event day that will be the adrenalin rush of your life.

The Spartan races are held all over the globe and offer you a unique challenge. The obstacles you overcome during the race include fire, mud, water, barbed wire, and, as they have it on their web-site, even Hell on Earth!

What is more, you will not be given any map to study. And never relax as there are additional obstacles that may catch you off guard, like, for example, curve balls.

Spartan races “put on different kinds of events, all designed for specific styles of racing and fun. Spartan Races include three levels of courses. For beginners there are 3-mile races, more challenging are Olympic Distance (8 miles) and Ultra Distance (10-12 miles).
