Tulisa Contostavlos Confirms Sex Tape: ‘I Feel Heartbroken, Betrayed’ [Video]

Tulisa Contostavlos has commented on a sex tape of her that recently leaked online. Footage of Contostavlos performing oral sex on an unidentified male was released earlier this week.

The star has confirmed that it is indeed her in the tape and identified the man in the video as her ex-boyfriend Justin Edwards, also known as grime artist MC Ultra.

“I’ve never been the type – regardless of being in the public eye – to sit down and keep my mouth shut about anything, especially when I’ve done nothing wrong,” she says in a five-minute long video, posted on YouTube.

“I wanted to set the record straight on a certain tape circulating online, that consists of footage of me and my ex-boyfriend having an intimate moment,” the X-Factor judge explained.

“I have never been the type to sit down and keep my mouth shut, and to keep quiet about anything, especially when I’ve done nothing wrong whatsoever.”

Showing a photo of Edwards, she added: “Justin is someone I was seeing from the age of 17 on and off for many years. By the time I was 19, we were together for a year and a half, I practically moved in with him and I loved him deeply. We talked about marriage, we talked about kids.”

The candid kept on talking and revealed that the release of the video was not a huge surprise to her, as she learned of its existence last year.

“Six months ago, I got a call from a mutual friend saying that apparently he has footage of me, that he’s been threatening to bring it out to ruin my career,” Contostavlos exlained.

“I can be honest – about six months ago I got calls from a lot of mutual friends telling me that he had this footage of me that was threatening to bring out for whatever reason – to make money or ruin my career,” she said.

“I confronted him and he lied about it, he completely denied it. Now here we are today, and the footage is now circulating online. As you can imagine, I’m devastated. I’m heartbroken, I’ve been in bits for the last few days,” she added.

“When you share an intimate moment with someone you love, that you care about and trust, you never imagine that at any point it will be shared with the rest of the UK or people around the world.”

Edwards twitted an hour after the video was posted: “I believe in silence being a sign of Integrity but in this case I guess I’ll have to speak up and Lay out the facts and let you guys decide.”

The day when the sex tape was leaked online, he took to Twitter and wrote: “I didn’t wanna say anything on the subject but I see peoples imagination running away.. it’s nothing to do with me. #backtowork”

Tulisa’s decision to comment on the video comes just two days after her team tried to prevent anyone using, publishing or communicating or disclosing to any other person any part of the film.

According to The Daily Mail, the reaction on the star was posted online on Wednesday night and tweeted to her 1.7million Twitter followers with the simple explanation: “The truth about the tape.”
