She may have initially made her mark playing New Yorker Rachel Green on ‘Friends,’ but that doesn’t mean the Big Apple was the right place for Jennifer Aniston.
“We tried New York,” she said Friday on Australian radio’s ‘The Kyle and Jackie O Show’ in Sydney. “But it felt like I was [living] in a fishbowl.”
As People Magazine reports, Aniston added: “Justin still has an apartment there … It was a little rough with the paparazzi. It didn’t feel like the New York I grew up in and knew.”
“You have a more relaxed sense of the world and life,” explained Aniston who now lives in Los Angeles, “and you realize there’s nothing to be taken too seriously besides doing your work and being a really good person.”
‘Friends’ star has made plenty of headlines of papers quite often this week. A few days ago she was reported to have sent to her rival Angelina Jolie flowers to congratulate her on her directorial debut.
“Jen sent Ange flowers and a note telling her how beautifully directed it was. It’s a sign that things are thawing between them,” a source claimed.
The pair have been pitted against each other since Brad Pitt, 48, left Aniston in 2005 and started a relationship with Jolie, 36, who he met on the set of ‘Mr and Mrs Smith’, says TV NZ.
However, the resources claim that relations between two former rivals have started getting warmer now that Aniston, 42, is loved-up with her new man Justin Theroux.
The insider told reporters: “Brad Pitt sent Jen a copy of Ange’s new film In the Land of Blood and Honey. Jen sent Ange flowers and a note telling her how beautifully directed it was. It’s a sign that things are thawing between them.”
A week ago the Hollywood star reportedly told friends that she has found the love of her life in the shape of actor boyfriend Justin Threoux, 40.
They have been dating for two years and now Aniston has reportedly announced: “I’ll be married by the end of the year.”
Aniston is said to have told guests at an exclusive pre-Oscars party on Friday that the relationship was “fabulous” and that the pair had discussed marriage, the Daily Mirror writes.
“If he’s not got down on one knee, or we’re not married, by the end of the year, it’s over!” the actress revealed. The insiders added that ‘Jennifer has never been so happy romantically.’
“She and Justin have discussed their long-term future and both agreed that they love the idea of settling down,” the source said. “The onus now is on Justin to pop the question.”
When asked about her first impressions about her boyfriend, Aniston responded: “My first was that this was completely easy. He is funny, kind and easy to be with. I met Justin about five years ago and I thought, ‘Woah, he is very sweet’.”
“But I remember thinking he was very dark too. At first you think he could be like a serial killer but he is actually the nicest person in the world [laughs],” she added.
