‘Model Fight’: Adriana Lima and Doutzen Kroes V Magazine Shoot Gets Physical [Gallery]

Victoria’s Secret Angels Adriana Lima and Doutzen Kroes get into a model’s fight for the ‘Sport’ issue of V Magazine.

The Victoria’s Secret Angels have always struck us as pretty close friends. After all, they spend basically all their time getting (nearly) naked in front of each other – you would have to imagine that makes a group pretty friendly.

But when necessary, they can also fight. Yeah, really. Adriana Lima and Doutzen Kroes get into a girl fight for the “Sports” issue of V Magazine.

In front of Mario Testino’s lens, the Victoria’s Secret Angels wear sexy lingerie inspired ensembles that are a cross between super heroine chic and boxing gear in the provocative selects of stylist Nicola Formichetti.

Showing off their toned stomachs in a range of lingerie, Adriana Lima and Doutzen Kroe manage to pull off athleticism as well as allure with their wild hair and tribal make-up.

The 12-page spread of the fighting models is part of V Magazine’s ‘sports issue’ which features Jennifer Lopez on the cover in a crop top and boxing belt. Inside the singer continues the knockout theme with a photo shoot where in one shot, she wears nothing but boxing gloves.

But Lima and Kroes, luckily, were able to stay cup-free and sexy as usual in the spread, where they claw at each other in intimidating Nicola Formichetti harnesses and ripped fishnet bodysuits (plus some awesome bright eye makeup).

The magazine said the sport theme for their spring edition was a natural choice with the London 2012 Olympics taking place this summer.

“We wanted to pay homage to these incredible icons past and present with our own Fashion Olympics. The talents who grace these pages face challenges, obstacles, victory, and defeat in an open forum almost every day,” they state.

Brazilian beauty Adriana Lima is no stranger to sports-related publicity having starred in a Formula 1 themed commercial for Kia earlier this year. She also stole the show the the 2012 U.S. Super Bowl when she featured in a 30 second advert for Interfloral which was broadcast to millions around the world during a break in the game.
