Angelina Jolie – her right leg in particular – became an internet sensation on Monday after the Versace-clad star, 36, self-consciously flaunted her gam with a brazen pose onstage at the Academy Awards and on the red carpet, says US Weekly.

With Oscar nominee Brad Pitt at her side, Jolie simply said that the thigh-high black velvet slit dress made her feel “sexy.”

Well, it seems like Jolie’s right leg is living her own live, having its own Twitter account: “You have to admit I’m one hell of a leg”, “I’m a leg, get a load of me!!”, “I’m over here!!!!” and “Look at me!”.

The actress’s father Jon Voight said: “She comes out and does this pose and waits until people get it, it was so great. The audience responded so wonderfully too, with whistles and everything.”

“And then she laughed and took it in and went on with her speech. So who knows? You can never tell about these moments that pop up out of a show like this.”

However, Jolie’s awkward pose was mocked not only by unknown Internet, but by Jim Rash, who was unable to help himself from not only noticing, but mocking the actress’ leg-revealing stance when he, Nat Faxon and Alexander Payne went onstage to accept their Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay for “The Descendants.”

“I just saw her pose and I thought, you know what, we have exactly the same legs and I wanted to show everyone what it meant,” Rash told reported backstage after the win. “It was a loving tribute. It was more like, oh, she’s standing, great, I’m going to stand like that, too.”

Nat Faxon said Jolie is “supremely hot,” adding: “Jim did the leg first and he didn’t tell us, tell me, so I had to like quickly adapt.”

Rash, who also stars as Dean Pelton on NBC’s show “Community,” later told reporters that the moment was unplanned, writes The New York Daily News.

“Honestly, as soon as I saw her pose like that, I was like, ‘I’m going to do that,'” he said at the Governors Ball following the show.

“I knew Alexander was going to take the reins (with the speech), so I was like, ‘How can I make a moment?’ – selfishly,” he said. “I almost thought it was a little Dean Pelton, somehow. I was bringing it all together.”

And aside from a number of blog headlines, on Monday’s Today Show, even Kathie Lee Gifford, who called Jolie “drop dead gorgeous,” poked fun at the actress.

“I don’t understand it,” she said. “If there’s any person on the planet who does not need to pose, it’s Angelina Jolie. We see her coming, she has our attention … I understand it on the carpet because it’s all about the pose, but when you go up there to present – ‘Could you go a little lower, guys? ‘Cause it’s about the leg.’ ”

Patricia Heaton compared Jolie’s pose to “Tebowing,” Tweeting, “I was wondering why Angelina was standing like that – then the writers copied her.”
