So, Kate Upton is your 2012 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition cover model. As we mentioned on Tuesday, Ms Upton was favored to land this year’s SI cover, not mainly for her humor (although we, as many others, appreciate it) but more for her “blond, all-American looks.”
Although she was born in Michigan, Upton told AP that she’s a Florida girl at heart. “In Florida, people walk around in their flip-flops, bikinis and jean shorts, so I’m very comfortable in a bathing suit,” she said.
However, Kate Upton isnβt the only lady who is just dominating bikinis this year. Β 21-year-old American fashion model Alyssa Miller also looks ridiculously sexy this year. The young model knows how to work it in extremely colorful bikinis (see the gallery above and check more at SI website here.)
Ms Miller made her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue debut in 2011, photographed by Walter Iooss, Jr. in Fiji and Bjorn Iooss in Maui, Hawaii. She was one of five rookies (along with Shannan Click, Kenza Fourati, Izabel Goulart and Kate Upton) in the issue.
According to a story in The Wall Street Journal, she had previously thought that if she ever appeared in Sports Illustrated it would be for soccer, since she envisioned herself as a professional soccer player.
She also appeared in the body painting feature in the SI 2011 Swimsuit Issue where Joanne Gair painted her and Stewart Shining photographed her in New York City. Check more photos with Alyssa Miller from the 2012 SI Swimsuit Edition here.
